This dream was about

I was walking down my childhood street with my two little siblings, it was night time. We get to the corner house, and people are sitting outside in lawn chairs drinking beer. They offer me one, but I decline because my little sister was there. They said they didn't see my little sister. And when I turn around, both my little brother and little sister are gone. I decide to have one beer with them when they invite me inside. We walk in the house and everything is abandoned. The stove looked like it wasn't used for a very long time. The floorboards had holes in them. The couch was old and it had looked like it had burn marks on it. there are people in the back using drugs despite my instincts I decided to stay All of a sudden, everyone started running frantically outside. I hear gunshots, I’m the last person to leave. When I walk outside I see a tall pale man wearing glasses. He’s sweaty and shaking. He’s holding my two little siblings in his arms he has a gun to my sisters head and a knife to my brothers neck. He’s mumbling something I can’t make out what he’s saying so I scream. Then manically we’re transported to the basement of that house he has me chained up. He repeatedly tortures me when he walks upstairs I close my eyes and I begin to beg for help when I open them a cinder block is in front of me and my chains are removed The next time he comes downstairs with a whip and a hammer in his hands, I pick up the cinder block and hit his head three times. When I run up the stairs through the kitchen and out of the house, it's now daytime and it's spring. I start walking down my street to go to my childhood home and I see my father who looks very sick standing outside of our house. I'm walking my childhood dog. When all of a sudden, I hear more gunshots, I start to run straight for my childhood home. And that's when I see a man dressed in all black running straight towards me. I turn into the street and I hear another gunshot. I feel a sharp pain through my stomach, but I continue to run. The man gets to the right of me and I hear another gunshot. And then I hear my dog attack the man. I look over and my dog is ripping the man apart. I finally catch my breath and put my hands on my knees when I notice that I'm bleeding from my stomach. And when I look at my left hand, there's a nail in my hand. The dream ends with me living in the house that I was tortured in. Everything is remodeled. Everything is new. I'm living there with my mother, and I'm constantly in a state of fear.

Hey Kristen! Thank you for sharing your dream with me. It sounds like a very intense and unsettling experience. The dream takes place on your childhood street, which could symbolize a journey into your past or exploring unresolved issues from your younger years. Walking with your siblings represents the connection and bond you have with them. However, their disappearance in the dream may reflect feelings of vulnerability and fear of losing those close to you. The abandoned house you enter may represent neglected aspects of yourself or unresolved emotions. The presence of people using drugs could symbolize temptation or negative influences in your life that you may feel conflicted about. The sudden chaos and gunshots indicate a sense of danger and unpredictability surrounding you. The tall pale man with your siblings at gunpoint and knife to their necks represents a threat to your loved ones and possibly a feeling of powerlessness in protecting them. The torture and captivity you endure signify emotional pain or trauma that you may be carrying from the past. However, your ability to defend yourself by using the cinder block and escaping suggests resilience and inner strength. Encountering your sick father outside your childhood home might symbolize unresolved issues or concerns related to your family. The gunshot and subsequent pain you feel while running could represent emotional wounds or external pressures impacting you. Your dog attacking the man reflects loyalty and protection, while the nail in your hand signifies feelings of hurt or guilt. Living in the remodeled house where you were tortured could imply a struggle to move on from past traumas, as well as the presence of ongoing fear and anxiety. It's important to remember that dreams are highly personal and subjective, so only you can truly uncover the specific meaning behind this dream. Take some time to reflect on these symbols and emotions, and consider how they might relate to your current experiences and feelings.
