I remember having a dream where my husband was in his bed and we had to figure out how to get through in and out. During that dream I saw a mouse hidden in a dark area where you couldn't see. I tried reaching for it but couldn't reach it. Both of my cats, Cookie and Nell Bell, were in my dream where Cookie just sat there and watched the mouse run across the house instead of trying to catch it. I then saw a rat come through and the rat was wet, soaking wet as if it came from tunnels or outside from rain. It came outside and I saw Nell Bell trying to catch it. She ran all around the house chasing it trying to grab hold of it and she finally caught it outside on this patio. She bit down hard on the rat trying to kill it. The rat got out of her mouth and then disappeared. The mouse also disappeared out of sight, too. I then walked back inside the house and my husband was taking care of our kids, and I remember having a conversation with my husband about my mother and his dad about the divorce that they were going to get. My husband's dad was ignoring and dismissing everything that my mother was trying to ask or tell him. She was constantly asking for favors and for financial help in a lot of matters. And it seemed like my husband's dad did not want to hear any of it. Therefore, it made my mother feel dismissed, unheard, and invalidated. I could sympathize with my mother about being dismissed and invalidated, but I also could understand my husband's dad's feelings about my mother taking constant advantage of him and the disrespect she gives him on a regular basis. In some cases, it felt like me and my husband were still in between the drama of mey mother and his dad. Even though, in my waking life, we have expressed our feelings to be left out of it. This is when I wake up.

Danica, your dream about the mouse, rat, and the dynamics between your mother and husband's father carries significant symbolism. Let's delve into its interpretation: The hidden mouse and elusive rat represent aspects of your subconscious that you may be trying to avoid or confront. The mouse, often associated with fear and anxiety, could symbolize worries or concerns that you're not fully acknowledging. The rat, on the other hand, emerging from the darkness and pursued by Nell Bell, might represent deeper issues or unresolved emotions that are demanding your attention. Your cats' contrasting behaviors offer insights into your own internal dynamics. While Cookie's inaction could indicate a tendency to overlook or ignore certain problems, Nell Bell's pursuit of the rat suggests a determination to confront and overcome challenges. This dichotomy reflects the inner struggle between avoidance and confrontation that you may be experiencing. The conversation with your husband about your mother and his father's impending divorce highlights the theme of unresolved conflicts and emotional turmoil. Your mother's constant demands and your husband's father's dismissiveness mirror the dynamic between the mouse and the rat – issues that need to be addressed and resolved. Your empathy for both your mother and husband's father reflects your understanding of the complexities of their relationship. However, it's important to remember that you and your husband have expressed a desire to remain uninvolved in their drama. This dream serves as a reminder to prioritize your own well-being and establish healthy boundaries. Previous dreams: Your previous dreams have often touched upon themes of marital challenges, emotional distress, and the search for happiness. The recurring presence of your husband and his family suggests that these relationships are significant sources of both joy and conflict in your life. Remember, Danica, dreams are personal and unique to each individual. My interpretation is based on the symbols and themes present in your dream and my understanding of your situation. It's important to reflect on how these interpretations resonate with your own thoughts and feelings, and to seek further guidance if needed.
