In this dream I’m leaning over the ledge of the choir loft and fr Toby is sitting at his chair , I assume it’s him and I see him fat and head shaven like mine, while a friend from long ago is at the pulpit reading the first reading after which the psalm is sung which I always do, but this time I remain where I am and a sing the responsorial psalm 23 “ el señor es mi pastor nada me falta” I then realize that I don’t need a microphone to lead the psalm,  the people sing along with me.

The dream followed a coherent sequence of events, resembling a church service with a personal twist.

I was in my high school, im 3rd grader and my brother and his friend are 4th, (seniors). They had to present something in English class but I remember that other professors was there. Luka (the friend) didn’t prepare something for him so he took me and my brother and we were supposed to sing something. He held me around my shoulders. Professor started talking about how its almost (tomorrow) 22th of May and we all paused and were on the verge od tears because thats the last day of high school. Luka and I were at the cafe before this dream and this night.

I was in what looked like a huge warehouse where an Asian wanted to sing for the 2nd time, she started singing some country song & the Canadians were booing at her, the 1st time she sang people were charmed by her looks. There were other people that had to act, I didn't want to cuz I hate acting. I saw our family friend's granddaughter I haven't seen in over a decade, I was trying to guess she was 27 years now but she was adamant I got it wrong & that she was 17. 

I don't know how I got myself in China but there I was, at first a huge tsunami was coming while we were on the street, I hid in a school & survived. Then another one came & a white man was carrying me & running super fast, I kept checking for the waves & warning him. I told him how amazed I was that he was carrying me as I weighed 80kg & could still run so fast. He was quite muscular. We opened a door & hid there as people didn't know we were married, we told one another how much we loved each other & I started giving him a blowjob as I knew it'd relax him. While giving it some Chinese men were saying my name & I knew they were really close to finding us. I don't remember how we got out without anyone noticing, a huge earthquake was approaching, we couldn't go to the same buildings we had been hiding in before. I don't remember if we got separated, I tried hiding in the same school this time all alone without him or any other Chinese. I abandoned the place as I realized it wasn't a good idea. I don't remember where I hid but I survived. People had divided missing people in colors, red, yellow, my man was one of them & they just gave me this ridiculously small card with his picture on it. Ok i dont remember as much buttt for this dream i was Elsa from frozen and i was having a walk in the park and then i saw a broken/closed off bridge over a large pond which led to my past castle and i really wanted to go. but i saw Hans so i hesitated but went sneakily anyways, and to make myself less recognisable i took out my braids. Then i saw Anna in the water playing with other ppl and i tried to walk past her but then she calls me from behind and says something along the lines of “i would always recognise u even without braids/no braids dont make difference.” but i ended up hurridly walking away from her too. Now im walking up a hill and i start to see the castle!!! I start to run up in excitement while singing ‘Let it go’ and im reallyyyyy wanting to get to the castle, like it felt like i was longing for it, but i stop several times in exhaustion. then theres a downhill leading to a….. bank???? all my family members and relatives are in there and when i step inside they tell me we’re going to the city. i was so disappointed 😭😭 anyways im basically me now, no more elsa. im sitting in my relatives car in the passenger seat and when we arrive, i immediately wanna go back really bad bc i forgot my purse at home but then im like oh well wtv ig…. but we end up going home anyways because my cousin lost smth plants vs zombies related i cant remember…….

I was in different places I didn’t recognise, and I broke off from the group. I was able to control aspects of things. I was able to get free things from the vending machine, although it wasn’t always items I wanted on the first go, but it was free. 

I was able to sing quite well despite not being able to in reality, I could hear music I liked, and I could change situations for the better. Someone told me to get away from them, and I missed my ride home, but I was happy in this dream.

I have long curly hair but I dreamed I was admiring myself bald. I thought I had a smooth, pretty head. I also tried on medium-length straight hair somehow, this hair was layered and had a claw clip on the side, I’ve never worn my hair like this but thought it was really fun. I went back and for the between being bald and enjoying this style, loving both. 

I dreamed I was sleeping in a hotel room with my workshop classmates. I recall fighting with my mom at some point about what to pack (she kept telling me things I already knew) and her giving me food still. I was so annoyed with her and felt she didn’t trust I could take care of myself. In the hotel room I was sharing a bed with an unknown female, and these two Asian delivery men with limited English crawled up our bodies as we lay in bed, like they were putting themselves on top of us. We woke up and protested, but they continued and were happy. It was just strange and disruptive rather than violating; we weren’t scared. We made jokes about it when we were out of bed and walking around the room with other students. Folks laughed at my incredulity, and I felt it was funny too. These men were friendly and harmless and what they had done was absurd to me rather than dangerous, and we could all laugh about it. 

I briefly recall a heavyset ginger man in professional school/office attire nearly getting hit by a bike as he walked in a residential neighborhood, and then he went the other direction and nearly got plowed down by another bike. He was embarrassed and said something in a wobbly voice to self-soothe as he happened to walk past me. I said something supportive since he was there and even though we were strangers I wanted to let him know it was all okay and he’d be fine. He didn’t say anything back but I didn’t prolong the moment (he was embarrassed after all) and I continued on my way down the sidewalk feeling that I’d done the right thing and my kindness meant something to him. 

Last I remember a version of The Office playing. There was a female boss who was very pretty who had recorded herself singing. Angela, the uptight blonde woman from the actual show, recorded herself singing after her and she had a stunning, powerful voice, and was clearly better than the boss. Her eyes rolled up and fluttered as she felt the music. The boss looked supportive but by the end of it, sat down in a huff and was clearly bitter and jealous—this was the punchline of the scene. I laughed because I completely empathized with the boss, having felt that way a lot myself. Next I was in a room with four Indian women, one of whom was translating for another as English was spoken and she was maybe translating into Hindi. There was a white woman employee explaining something with the boss and a possible transfer or (just professional attention from) Evergreen, a superior paper company to Dunder Mifflin. The translator said “not Evergreen!” As another big joke, as if that was too unbelievable of an example to be related to this transfer/award scheme. Overall these were light dreams with lots of humor and kindness.

Dream About Bald Medium Length Hair

Remember sleeping in a big house with other students from my cohort. I was in a dark bedroom with many beds and I slept alone while other folks slept in coupled. I actually couldn’t see who all was there or coupled that well, some might have been single like me. I remember being sleepy maybe even near death and wanting to be with Cody and we kissed hard and tonguelessly and I fell asleep in his arms and against him, this was not romantic, it was like “this kiss of death” or this resigned, this-is-over type kiss. Then I dreamed of having sex with Angeline, his girlfriend, I didn’t have sex with him, but I had sex with her. She was painted gold. She was blonde (but she’s not in real life) and she wanted to eat me out right away. I’m was surprised but interested in this and she was able to penetrate me somehow even though she didn’t have a penis and wasn’t wearing a strap. I was excited to be having sex with her. And then I remember telling people inside the dream that it was interesting I was having sex with her and not Cody. Then in the dark bedroom I remember making a joke about getting up to pee at 2 AM, everyone laughed at my joke and then I did get up and go out a door. I went into a connected bedroom, also with low light, and I didn’t know who was sleeping in there, but I needed to go through a door that looks like my apartment front door to get to the bathroom. Turns out Conrad was in that bedroom and he was awake. We exchanged some words. 

Then I remember a long sequence of this person in my grad school program named Colin. Colin is quite androgynous and part of the dream outside this house that we all had been sleeping in. it was sunny outside and Colin was looking beautiful. Colin‘s hair looks beautiful, what they were wearing beautiful, and they were outside with their friends and their girlfriend Abi. I was outside with them too and Colin was posing in different places and it was a beautiful mix of crumbling ruins overrun with nature and greenery outside. It was a really beautiful landscape, and Colin looked really beautiful and was posing on top of things and letting their friends take pictures of them. At first I don’t think Colin knew or cared about their own beauty and was just having fun with their friends and the dream kind of turned into a fair or festival, Colin suddenly had a wig on. It was unflattering. It was a blonde curly wig that was very boxy and didn’t fit well. At this point many people were sitting on the rim of a pool full of water and with no one in it, and I saw Cody and Angeline again. There are many people there and somebody was talking to Colin and then as they turned towards the entrance to the pool where Cody and Angeline were sitting they made fun of Colin on their way back, like imitating Colin’s femininity and I had a thought about Colin being androgynous and really quite feminine, but having a girlfriend. I didn’t have thoughts beyond that. It’s just something I observed. Cody witnessed this person making fun of Colin but didn’t react. Neither did Angeline. 

At this fair or festival there was an attraction kind of like a museum mixed with an with an amusement park ride. You walked first up some wooden stairs and then you went down into a dark space and then you would emerge at the end up through a hole. I went on this ride twice. There was a really long line and it was packed full of Black people, and we were humming as we ascended the stairs and went into the hole. I was seeing a woman, a middle-age, black woman, singing, and the way her mouth moved. She had this really beautiful velvet voice. At one point going up the stairs there was a white girl who was in line and didn’t seem to recognize where she was or just wanted to get ahead, and got out of the line and budged to get ahead. I noticed this with resignation and kept my place in line, just singing with people. I wasn’t surprised by her doing that, her not knowing how she was trespassing and how she was trying to get ahead. Going through the “tour” and seeing the black woman singing, I took a card from her, which had information about where to take a $25 class to sing with a choir, to learn to sing in groups. It was in a Colorado town that started with E. It was something like ESTADOR or EVADOR, it was her business card. 

Briefly at this festival I was at a restaurant table outside and Cody was there, but I wasn’t interacting with him. There was a woman at a table directly in front of me who was quite elderly, but was wearing a visible pink thong and cheetah print sweats, early 2000s style. She got up to go somewhere else and she had she kind of stalked off towards me and I saw her belly button was pierced, and that she had a very wrinkled stomach. I was thinking that her being dressed like this was inappropriate for her age and I wondered why she was dressing that way, and I was afraid Cody might comment, I knew he noticed it, but he didn’t say anything. It seemed like this woman represented the stalking off of my own obsession or vigilance about my appearance and my attempts to be attractive, those attempts aging and disappearing.

Overall, dark or sad things were in the dream technically like being in the bedrooms at night and having that hard sad kiss with Cody and then falling asleep or kind of dying in his arms, but I didn’t feel bad or sad about any of it. I’m facing in life among other things closure with Cody, as there is zero chance of being together and he’s living with Angeline, so I expect to see in my dreams more symbols handling that and moving through it. It feels like this dream was recognizing that, and Colin represented some sort of natural, innocent, androgynous beauty and play outside the dark bedrooms, and they were out in the sun among the ruins, but still in the sun, and the ruins and nature mixed together was really beautiful.

I kept trying to order at a Starbucks drive-thru. Their ordering machine was new and malfunctioning.  I was sitting in a toy car in the line, hoping not to be judged. I spoke at the same time as the worker. They messed up my order. Trixie Mattel, the drag queen, appeared out of drag, and we tried to work with the faulty machine, stressed workers in long line. It was sunny outside, and the atmosphere was light-hearted, even though things were going wrong. There was a manager woman, a white lady who was middle-aged, who was trying to explain everything and keep everyone calm, but the machines weren't working and I was annoyed, but still having fun with it all.  Finally, I got my food, but they forgot my drink. The manager went to go get it after I pestered her childishly, basically tantrumed a little about it.  I almost sat with Trixie on the ground to eat our food. We sort of tripped on our way down to the gravel and it was so uncomfortable to think of sitting there that I laughed. At another point I briefly saw my own face in a Walmart makeup aisle mirror and I looked quite pale. My expression was neutral. I thought in that moment it would be okay if my skin was warm neutral tone rather than just warm. I'm in that time of year where my skin is a lot lighter and sometimes I feel less comfortable in my identity as a person of color when my skin is lighter.  Eventually, I walk away from the drive-through and go to a big grassy field that's kind of sunken and I can see lots of big trees, green and yellow grass, and mountains in the distance. This area has lots of people in it. My friend Conrad is with me. There's black girls sitting, wearing 1940s dresses. There's the back of black women's heads and their worn, plain, beautiful, dark faces. I hear their humming and try not to cry.  Are you surprised there's black people here? I ask Conrad. He maybe agrees. I almost say there's a Walmart nearby like that would explain it but I choose not to say that. I hear the humming more and more women are still and sitting and standing in the shade and wind beneath the trees as their leaves rustle.  The women's sighs turn into hums and church singing, and I start crying. Conrad embraces me from behind, though I never see him. The music swells and gathers and swells, and I hear a 1940s singer and glimpse her briefly. She's a light-skinned woman with a swirl of styled gray hair and a young face and white gloves, and there's this sense of her performing on TV. She climbs to the song's ending, and the only lyrics outside of humming I remember are “and blue, and blue, and blue, and blue.” The notes were only F#-C#, a perfect fifth, and so beautiful and piercingly light I sobbed when I sang them to myself upon waking.

Mum, dad and I walked into this quaint town where there was classical music playing and people singing. And we were talking about how nice it would be to live here. Then I climbed up this massive wall and started working in some kind of retail position. Where a customer came to pay for an item with me and I kept trying to find the item on the system but every time I tried to type in the item on the computer the letters kept getting jumbled up no matter how hard I tried and the customer was getting annoyed which was very frustrating.

Dream Of Working In Retail With Jumbled Letters

The first scene in my dream was this like.. singing competition reality show. We had to get into groups, and pick a leader, a dancer, a singer and a rapper. Obviously, I have good leadership and good creativity, and one of our mentors was saying that. One of the girls, the more bubbly and charismatic one, said I should sing. So I started to sing Red Rover by YUQI, but my throat was extremely dry so I left to get some water. When I came back, I started to sing and she sang with me for one part and her voice kinda sounded like Adele, and then I started to gain more confidence so I was dancing with my own made up choreo. They liked it, I think. The next scene was my dad made a horror game but when I played it it was like I was in the game, and it was called like milk something I forgot maybe milk combustion? It had nothing to do with that, though. You started in the hallway and everytime you looked at an object it would start bothering you, like for example if you stared at a fan it would blow your hair so hard it would start falling off and landing in your mouth. Then if you got jump scared it was this white man like he was actually all white, super creepy. But my sister was playing it and so was my mom. Then it was my turn to play and I got scared but I realized that the game didn’t even start yet.
