We were in the garden of my father's house in Osdorp with my dad's group of friends. We were enjoying the sun and having a nice meal together. At one point there were all kinds of tarantulas walking on the ground. Really those dirty, fat, big tarantulas. I was super scared but no one really responded to it. I then practically flew in the air, so I jumped so high not to have to touch the ground. My father's friends and my father laughed at me. I then said that I thought those spiders were super scary, but I would dare to touch them in snakes. Suddenly the wife of one of my father's friends came with all these big snakes and said 'grab one of them.' She spoke in English and suddenly she no longer spoke Dutch at all.

Hi Jake, Your dream set in your father's garden, amidst a social gathering that turns unsettling due to the presence of tarantulas, seems to reflect feelings of anxiety or discomfort that you may be experiencing in your waking life. The garden, often a symbol of growth and tranquility, contrasts sharply with the fear induced by the spiders. The fact that you're the only one reacting to the tarantulas could suggest a sense of feeling misunderstood or not taken seriously by those around you, perhaps in a social setting or family context. The act of 'flying' to avoid the spiders implies a strong desire to escape from these uncomfortable situations or emotions. Moreover, the switch to English by your father's friend's wife could indicate feelings of alienation or challenges in communication. It's interesting to note the contrast between the fear of spiders and the willingness to confront snakes. This could be a subconscious acknowledgment that you possess the courage to face certain fears or difficulties, even if others might underestimate this trait in you. Remember, the animals in your dreams often represent different aspects of your own emotions or personality traits being brought to your attention.
We explain why you have seen this dream and use it to identify what is blocking your mental health and happiness.
