Last night, I had a dream. Over the last few months I've been dealing with a breakup. This past summer I found out the guy I had been dating was actually married and had a child that he hadn't told me about and after dating for eight months we broke up after I found that out. Fast forward to this dream I had last night. In the dream I was dating another gentleman and the gentleman and I were at some type of cabin or retreat and we were called upon to talk to each other. The facilitator asked me to hold his hand and I was very apprehensive because I really have been guarded because of my last relationship and in this particular dream the facilitator asked me to look in my boyfriend's eyes and allow him to tell me something that he wanted to share and when he began to speak he was telling me that he wanted to love me but I needed to let my guard down and that he would never hurt me the way that I've been hurt before but I must let my guard down and I remember feeling uncomfortable in that moment and then I looked up and he was crying and he was crying because he wanted to share with me how much he really loved and cared for me and wouldn't hurt me and then I remember looking up and wiping the tear from his eye and then I woke up.

Hello Nicole, Your dream seems to reflect the emotional aftermath of your recent breakup and the betrayal you've experienced. The cabin or retreat setting could symbolize a need for introspection and healing, while being asked to hold hands and make eye contact may represent a subconscious desire to reconnect and trust again. The presence of a facilitator guiding you to let your guard down suggests an inner conflict between the need for intimacy and the fear of getting hurt once more. The man's tears and plea highlight a longing for genuine connection and reassurance that not everyone will cause you pain. Looking at your previous dreams, particularly the recurring theme of fires and the need to escape danger, it appears that feelings of anxiety and the need for safety have been prominent in your subconscious. These themes may be tied to the shock and distress from your past relationship's revelation. However, the more recent dream of being back on the beach in Mexico indicates a strong desire for peace and a reminder of the serenity you're capable of feeling. This latest dream could be a sign that you're ready to start processing your emotions and considering opening up to new possibilities of trust and love. Remember, while a dream can shine a light on your inner thoughts and emotions, the true healing and progress come from your conscious thoughts and actions following these reflections.
We explain why you have seen this dream and use it to identify what is blocking your mental health and happiness.
