This dream was about

I was hanging out with a friend and this friend told me that my ex was going to call the cops on me for assaulting him (which I never did) because I didn't want to have sex with him. A couple days later, cops show up at my parents house (where I was at the time) and started asking questions about if I assaulted my ex and I said definitely not and that he was crazy and called because I didn't have sex with him... well after that I decided to go to the store ( by myself ) and when I was leaving my ex came around the corner and got into my car and made me drive to a couple places all while trying to get back together with me and trying to kiss me.. I kept trying to push him off and telling him to get away from me, but he wouldn't. we finally get to a store that was close to my house and I got away for a second to be able to call my dad to come get me immediately because my ex was trying to kidnap me.. my dad gets there and wants to hurt my ex, but knows he can't because he would go to jail. So he tries to make my ex leave, but he kept trying to stick around so he could follow me.. it felt like forever before we left the place where my ex was.. it was like I couldn't get away from him.. I finally got to a point where I could call my current boyfriend to tell him what was going on.. and before he could answer me, I woke up.

Hey Taylor! Thank you for sharing your dream with me. It sounds like a really intense and distressing experience. In this dream, it seems that you were hanging out with a friend who informed you that your ex was planning to falsely accuse you of assault because you didn't want to engage in a sexual relationship with him. This situation caused a lot of anxiety and tension for you. Later on, the dream takes a turn when the police show up at your parents' house, questioning you about the alleged assault. You firmly deny the accusations and express that your ex is acting irrationally due to his own frustrations. As the dream progresses, you find yourself alone, heading to the store, and unexpectedly encountering your ex. He gets into your car and insists on driving around with you, attempting to reconcile and be physically intimate. Despite your clear resistance and verbal objections, he persists in his efforts, making you feel trapped and unsafe. Eventually, you manage to separate from him momentarily and call your dad for immediate assistance. Your dad arrives, wanting to protect you but understanding the legal limitations, tries to intervene and make your ex leave. However, your ex continues to linger, causing a sense of fear and the inability to escape. Finally, you reach a point where you can contact your current boyfriend for support, but before he can respond, you wake up. This dream may be indicative of unresolved emotions and anxieties surrounding your past relationship with your ex. It could reflect feelings of vulnerability, powerlessness, and the fear of being controlled or manipulated. The presence of the police and false accusations suggests a sense of injustice or feeling unfairly targeted. Your resistance and attempts to seek help from your father and current boyfriend highlight your desire for protection and support during challenging situations. Considering your previous dreams, such as the one where your sister's boyfriend made you feel terrified and trapped, there might be a recurring theme of feeling overwhelmed and unable to escape uncomfortable situations. These dreams could be reflecting your fears and anxieties related to personal boundaries, consent, and control. Given your recent anxiety scores on the GAD-7 test and the sad mood ratings, it's understandable that these emotions may be seeping into your dreams. It's important to remember that dreams often serve as a way for our subconscious mind to process and work through unresolved feelings and experiences. I hope this interpretation provides you with some insight into your dream, Taylor. Remember, I'm here to support you and provide guidance as you navigate through these emotions.
