This dream was about

We ran inside of a church with multiple people all sitting down on the benches and gethering around alters and walking around . Everyone was in fear , something outside had broken out something demonic. Everyone ran inside of the church not knowing what was out there feeling they'll get cursed .even non religious people ran into the church worrying what was out there . My mum had mentioned she forgot something, the entrance of the door led to a long corridor where people were walking in and out . She said she'll back in a couple of minutes. Me and my dad stayed close to eachother. Religious hymns were playing and priests handing out holy water to the people. Trying to keep everyone calm and safe . Some had left some had stayed in the church , not really knowing what was going on or what to do . Eventually it was getting late and the corridor had turned dark ,only one or two people walking in and out ,leading them into the darkness. The church was still full of people but my mum hadn't arrived back yet . More people rushed in the church and no one dared to go out . But my father told me that he had to go find my mum . I didn't want to stay alone without my dad so I insisted on going with him. But before I went with him I told him I had to get atleast a crucifix or any sort of protection from any evil malicious demonic spirit whatever was lurking out there . Shoving through people 'excuse me sorry ' it was very packed . I ran up to the alter , multiple cross pendants necklaces rosaries charms etc . I tried to find one that looked strong enough to stay on me or spiritually not paying attention to any of my surroundings. I couldn't find a specific one as there were so many , I turned for a second to see if my dad was still waiting , I was left confused , absolutely everyone was gone and disappeared. The noises of the people and music I just heard started to fade out and it became silent . I knew exactly what was going to happen next . The church started to turn dark as I saw a shadow figure slowly but far away approach me, I force myself to wake up immediately.

you may be between one emotional state and another, waiting for clarity, closure, or someone’s return. The corridor’s darkness intensifies as the dream continues, suggesting that delay itself is becoming threatening. What began as “she will be back in a few minutes” turns into the fear that the situation has changed beyond your control. The church remains full, but the emotional experience becomes increasingly solitary. At first, there are crowds, music, priests, rituals, and shared fear. Later, the people disappear, the sounds fade, and you are left with the shadow. This shift may point to a difference between external support and internal experience. There can be people around you, advice available, or familiar routines in waking life, yet anxiety can still make you feel completely alone inside your own perception. The dream’s frightening turn does not come when the church is empty at the beginning; it comes after you become absorbed in finding the perfect object of protection and lose awareness of the people around you. The crucifixes, rosaries, charms, and holy water represent different forms of reassurance, but the dream carefully avoids presenting one as unquestionably effective. You are not calmly choosing a meaningful symbol; you are searching for one “strong enough,” as though protection must be flawless before you can move. That detail suggests pressure to find certainty rather than merely comfort. The problem is not that you want protection. Wanting something grounding before entering a frightening situation is understandable. The distress comes from believing you must identify the exact, powerful, correct protection before you are allowed to act. This is also where the dream may connect to a pattern of trying to prepare for every possible danger. When there are many choices—crosses, pendants, rosaries, charms—more options do not calm you. They make the decision harder. Your attention narrows around selecting the perfect safeguard, while your father’s location and the surrounding people become less visible. The dream does not portray this as foolishness; it shows how fear can turn preparation into paralysis. The object is supposed to help you stay connected to safety, but the search for it coincides with losing connection to the person you were trying to follow. The moment you look back and everyone has disappeared is the dream’s sharpest rupture. It may express a fear that while you are concentrating on solving one danger, circumstances will change without warning.
