Dream
I dreamed Simon, a guy from Germany I recently met, was driving my car. I had been driving it at first but we somehow switched. He was talking but I was admiring his face and body. He looked different in the dream than he does in real life, blonder and with brighter blue eyes. I started sucking on his neck, nibbling his ear, and kissing the corner of his mouth. He seemed stunned and unreceptive at first, and he pulled over. I apologized a bunch and turned my back to him, not feeling ashamed but worried that I’d insulted him or done something unreciprocated. Suddenly I was riding a bike down a twisty dirt road, it was autumn. The world looked gorgeous and I was wearing a short summery floral dress. I was headed to an event that involved dancing and horses. I parked my bike at the bike rack, which had two kickstands, and joined a group of familiar faces. Other grad students. I must’ve left, and I got a phone call from some sort of boss or manager. He inquired about my bike and the horses, and I confessed I’d left my bike there, and didn’t know what was up with the horses. I did however prove I cared about taking care of the horses, and that I had instinct for taking care of “my horse” and I’d been very responsible with it. I expressed to the man too that I was open to learning more, being not very experienced with horses, and he was quiet for a bit but clearly relieved. He said he’d send me some info about horse care. I waited patiently for it and was interested, but I was also a bit restless and wanted to move onto the next thing. I made peace with this boss-like figure however and was glad for what he had to say.
Next I remember seeing Simon again and I realized I’d parked my bike without securing it, and neglected the horse, because he’d started touching me back and we were making out and fucking. I had to explain to the boss on the phone that I’d met a guy and gotten distracted with him. It felt cute and mischevious to admit this to him, and he understood, not enthusiastically, but resignedly. And in any case, I remember Simon taking me in his lap and surrendering to him, and I remember such good, brief penetration that I remember scrunching my face, cursing, and almost woke up.
Next I remember driving and then tubing down a wintery road nearly black with grime and soot. There were lane closures and blockages to my right. I had to be careful on the winding road so oncoming cars and trucks didn’t hit me. I felt completely fearless. I envisioned inviting Simon here if he wanted to come. I got down to the bottom of this place, where there was a pool of ice water and tons of folks swimming and enjoying themselves even though they were frigid. I leapt in and swam, super cold, but happy. As I moved in the pool, an androgynous person, a butch lesbian wearing a red beanie, was about to jump in and join her family. They all appeared to be Native. Her family encouraged her, and she apologized for any big splash, and jumped in precariously close to another woman. The splash was super small and the other woman was blithely unaffected and still supportive. This woman said the splash was polite and we all laughed. Some of us were naked in the pool and I loved taking a cold plunge. This was a truly awesome dream.
