Dream
In real life, I have been single for the last five years.
Last night, I dreamt that my ex-boyfriend was using an old audio, taping of my voice as the background music for romantic moments and sex with his current girlfriend! He was doing it repeatedly for a long period of time and when I found out about it, I was shocked and embarrassed for her . I’m not sure, but I think the audio recording was of me praying or singing. Then I dreamt that I was in a space or house with a group of women and every day, one or two of these women would do their hair over my food! I finally got so angry. I grabbed a woman’s hand and dragged her over to the mirror where my food was sitting on a table under the mirror and I asked her “do you see anything weird here?’ and she said well no. I said didn’t you do your hair here, and she said yes, and I said do you ever bother to look around before you start combing your hair? and she looked down and saw my bowl of hotdogs and beans and was surprised. She also worth it glasses and I said not only did you put a whole bunch of hair in my food you just left it sitting there you didn’t bother to pick up the hair afterwords or clean the space or anything and I was angry. and then another part of the dream I was somewhere at a celebration and it was a wonderful time and a woman came and grabbed my hand and and asked me to come and sit down in a special chair you know, she pull the chair out for me and then told me to look because this was specially made for me and She had a group of people dance for me. This was something that they had rehearsed for a long time. and it wasn’t to make sure that it was good for somebody else. I wasn’t a test subject. The dance was made for me! So I felt kind of special. So to sum it all up, an ex using my voice as background for lovemaking sessions, people putting hair or combing their hair over my food over and over again, and dance troops, choreographing, and practicing special work pieces to perform for me. To be fair, I think that dance troop was meant to do this performance in front of other people too, but they did it in front of me first and it made me feel very special. in real life, my main form of self expression is dance! All of my life I have used dance to work through joy and pain. It is truly my main source of self expression and always has been. I don’t dance like I used to now because I’m in my 60s and I can’t dance the way I used to. Maybe that gives it a special significance, that they chose dance instead of singing or acting. So what does all this mean?
