I have a recurring dream about taking care of people's houses and pets while they're away, and realising after a long time that I've forgotten to feed the pets, and the pets have become weakened and starved. Sometimes I had forgotten to feed them for ridiculous lengths of time, like months or years. However this time I dreamt that I had agreed to take care of a close friend's dog and cat, and to give the dog his medicine. The dream began with my friend still there in the house, showing me where the food and medicine was kept. And this time only one day had passed where I forgot. When I remembered, I couldn't find the pet food anywhere in the cupboards, and I couldn't find the animals' food bowls. So, this time the animals were fine, and I was relieved to have remembered, but I was frustrated at not being able to find the food for them. I was preparing to use paper plates and give them human food when I woke up.
