In real life my maternal grandmother had become cold and distant as I became an adult, disapproving of my choices. We never reconciled, which did not sadden me at all because I had learned how unkind she really was, and she died before my last two children were born. In my dream, she was still alive and a different woman, warm and jovial. I took my youngest two daughters to her house and she was kind to them, kind to me, and very happy. I was hoping I could get some financial help from her, and had a feeling that she had hidden money for me in her books, knowing the other relatives would try to prevent me getting anything from her and that they wouldn't look in the books. I was starting to look for the books when she gave me some old craft kits that I could sell because they were very valuable. It was a happy dream, but I still felt anxious about attaining the help I desperately need. I woke feeling sad that my grandmother wasn't a kind person, wasn't there for me, in real life. I wonder if she is sending me a message of apology and wanting to help me now from beyond the grave.
