Dream About Moving To An Island
Analyze my dream

This dream was about

I had the strangest dream last night. It looked like I had moved away with my parents, from where we currently live, to an island that was a small distance off the main coast of the United States. I’m not sure exactly where it was, but it reminded me of the Northwest. It was kind of rainy, like Seattle or Oregon or Washington state would be. it looked like my parents had kicked me out of the house saying, that nobody that had $80,000 in the bank was going to live off of them. We were in this new town, that we had just moved to and I didn’t know anybody so I was just walking around the business district. I finally came to this concert hall and I saw these two women working outside cleaning the area up and they were laughing and cutting up with each other and I thought they seemed nice. I went up to one of the ladies and I think she could tell by looking at my face that I was worried, and I just blurted out to her, Where can I find low income housing? She says you have to go across the bay into the city to apply for it. I was petrified. It was bad enough being in this little town not knowing where I was with no vehicle and not knowing anybody. She looks at her friend and she says it looks like this girl needs help and maybe I should help her and I looked at her and I said oh would you please take me into the city so I can apply for low income housing? She tells her friend that it will be good for her to do this because it would look good to her AA sponsor for her to be helping someone in need. I tell her that of course I will pay for everything if she would just please, for the day help me get this taken care of. As she finishes up her job, her and I are walking to her home and I ask her if I live in low income housing, do I have to live in the city or can I live here on the island? I did not want to live in the city because it scared me, she told me that she thought it might be possible that I could very well live on the island. And then I woke up.

Tosha, your dream is a complex and intriguing exploration of your emotions and fears. The setting of the dream, the island reminiscent of the Northwest, reflects a sense of isolation and being removed from your familiar surroundings. The rainy, gloomy weather mirrors your feelings of uncertainty and apprehension. The dream seems to symbolize a significant transition or change in your life, possibly relating to your sense of stability and security. The presence of your parents in the dream, along with their rejection and dismissal, may signify feelings of abandonment, rejection, or a lack of support in your waking life. This could stem from a fear of financial instability or a deeper emotional need for validation and acceptance. The theme of seeking low-income housing reflects concerns about your living situation and financial security. The encounter with the two women at the concert hall represents a desire for connection and assistance in navigating unfamiliar territory. The willingness of one woman to help you, driven by the desire to impress her AA sponsor, suggests themes of altruism, community, and the importance of support networks. Your fear of the city and preference to live on the island may symbolize a reluctance to confront unfamiliar or challenging situations, perhaps indicating a desire for comfort and familiarity. Overall, your dream appears to be a reflection of your inner anxieties, desire for support, and the need for a sense of belonging and security. It's essential to explore these themes further and consider how they may relate to your waking life and emotions.
