Last night I dreamt that I had to illustrate a concept by painting slides for an exhibition. It was stressful and I didn't know how to do it, but I did.

I was leaving a restaurant with someone when I notice that the owner is standing by the door and it’s this guy I knew back when I was really young. He has always had bars and clubs and restaurants, he’s quite short, average looking, has been with the same girl since high school and the rumour is he’s abusive with his wife. Anyway our eyes meet and he recognises me and I go to him and hug him and kiss his cheek and say “hi, so nice to see you! You remember me?” And he hugs me back and says of course, how could I not remember you! And we start to kiss, not deeply or anything but more short kisses while I also am leaving. I feel almost a bit exhilarated that we’re kissing. I’ve seen him almost every time I’m back home these last years and I haven’t seen anyone else from my youth. At the same time I remember thinking I’m the dream how typical it is for me to always get involved with the wrong type of guys. I wake up because my dog wants to get in bed and then start dreaming again but can’t remember what other than that he was there again.

My mom , my sister and I broke into a house . anyways there lived an old and he wanted to kill us for sneaking into his house . We were in the living room as my mother told my sister to jump out of window. She made it and was free . I was being chased by something, didn’t know what but I knew I was in danger. As I tuned the corner to my street I saw my father on a cross. His mouth was torn open, eyes gouged out, and arm missing. I then froze as I saw this and the thing that was chasing me jumped on me, dropped me to the ground, and stabbed through me with a knife or sword.

My dream from last night was really weird. It kept switching between two separate stories that weren’t related to each other in any way. The first story focused on Dream-Me doing daily tasks in unusual ways, while the second story focused on the apocalypse and how fictional characters were dealing with it. It was so strange, because I would watch myself write an essay or play a game or go to the bathroom, then watch the worlds that fictional characters live in get destroyed. At one point, Dream-Me was hanging out with her boyfriend and reading an online book to him, when my dream suddenly cuts to Homer Simpson from “The Simpsons” trying to survive a tornado while his town is getting flooded. The whole apocalypse thing ended with a bunch of cartoon characters from movies and tv shows swimming around in the now flooded Earth, while Dream-Me was in the living room playing “Tears of the Kingdom.” Also, one of the characters from “South Park” was missing their face, and my dad found a way to play “Tears of the Kingdom” on the computer instead of the Nintendo Switch.

Dream

I was in a car with my oldest brother and my mom . We were driving in a run down , city neighborhood. A car was approaching us , driving recklessly and hitting cars. It passed us and struck a pedestrian behind us. We stopped to see if we could help. I got out of the car and was met by a police officer whose car was damaged. A man with a broken arm and swollen face walked up to us and the officer told him he was going to be arrested for causing all this damage. The officer had trouble handcuffing the man because he was resisting arrest. I helped the officer take him into custody. The next thing I knew , I was in front of a strange looking building with multiple levels with my mother and brother. It looked like a residential building with the apartment numbers facing outside . There were numerous people and chaotic activity on all of the levels of the building. The police station was also in the building and I told the police I was there if they needed to interview me about witnessing the crashes and arrest. My brother told me he got fired from his job and had to live here because he couldn’t afford his house anymore. My mom was sitting on the curb and said she couldn’t walk up the steps to The apartment because she needed to rest and catch her breath. I asked her if she wanted me to carry her to the apartment and she said ok. The apartment number was 1002. I was walking up the stairs through all the people carrying my mom and Inwas stressed because of all of the people and commotion and I couldn’t find the apartment. Every time I thought o found it , the numbers on the wall were different. The next thing I knew , I was driving home to my house alone. That’s when I woke up.
