Dream
We were getting ready for a band performance out on a field, I was running a little late but technically made it there on time. I started to pick up my trumpet and play a few measures of our music but someone stopped me and seemed a little bit offended when they reminded me that I’m playing an entirely different instrument (, one I have no idea how to play in real life,) for this concert. I was a bit confused but then I recalled what they were talking about and went to play the clarinet and we actually had an amazing performance. That part of the dream ended quickly and it moved on to me laying down in bed with my grandma telling me to go to sleep before she laid down in front of me and gave me a gentle smile. My mother then came in and was preparing to hop in when she and my grandma just started chatting about random things so I turned around to go to sleep and they were silently happy that I chose to go to sleep instead of joining in on the conversation. This repeated with a few alterations about three times before a man jumped in through the window, immediately becoming shocked to see us there. For a moment he wanted to kick us out as the house was supposed to be his safe house, but decided he had no right to and left the matter alone. He explained that it was a perfectly functioning house that no one owned so no one would think to look for him there and that’s why he normally used it as a hideout. The man was, as we knew, an infamous mafia leader and since we were by the window with the lights turned on, someone saw him and immediately people began shooting and attacking the side of the house trying to get to him. Most of my family stayed behind since this had nothing to do with them while we climbed out the window and down the building and attempted to make our escape. While we were running we saw a very dark area that had something that looked like a game machine mixed with a vending machine but turned out to be a giant old fashioned camera. The camera slid over a little and a friendly old man sitting on a chair emerged and began taking pictures of me. I obliged him and began posing when the mafioso started to stop me but decided to let me have this moment since he actually found it a bit cute. Suddenly the angry mob was quickly approaching so he grabbed my arm and we began to run. We ran into this old building and suddenly me and my mom had to help him walk. My mother explained that he was constantly exerting himself and will constantly grow older and weaker and will very soon die. We must’ve went through the whole process after that because suddenly I knew exactly what to do and I could very vividly remember nearly everything from the future timeline, just not how it ended, but I was sure if I didn’t do anything he would die. Immediately I ran from under his arm to a rustic table with books and papers on it and pulled a glass bird full of blue liquid from beneath the books. Suddenly he was in my arms and I put the liquid to his mouth so that he’d drink it and after he did it turned red. Suddenly this cute little bird duck creature came out and looked at me and what I’d done. I began apologizing for not asking for his permission first (Although I did in the other timeline,) and explained that I had to move as quickly as possible to save his life. I told the wise little duck that I didn’t want the same thing to happen to the man as did him, gesturing to a tall terrifying looking balding bird creature standing in the darkness of the hallway and he nodded his head knowingly, giving me his permission to do what I could to save the man. Despite its appearance, the eerie creature in the hallway did not scare me, I knew it was a representation of how old the cute little bird was on the inside and how it was dying- the same way the mafioso was. Suddenly the mafia man laid his torso face down over the table and I began sobbing and pleading for him not to die. Understanding that me and the mafioso were in love with each other, the little duck looked at me, telling me with his eyes that he would grant my wish in saving his life, simply for our love for each other and my displayed devotion- something he never sees anymore. Before anything could be accomplished I woke up, still however knowing that the duck kept his word and the mafia man was alright. I am 18.
