Dream
I had a dream that was half historical reenactment, half time travel.
Two men were a part of opposing factions, and there was a woman trying to mediate.
One of the men gave the other a bit of poison but was also something called a Jon, which was something like a secret order or brotherhood. They would put a bit of a flint arrowhead in their food or drink to consume. Between the poison, which was causing the man to cough up blood, and the arrowheads the man was dying.
A medic reenactor became very agitated because he wasn't able to help enough. He needed biodegradable gastrointestinal tape and access to an indoor privy to even have a chance at surviving, neither of which were easily accessible.
The woman relayed this to the Jon, as well as the fact that an additional external injury which had come open from his coughing. The Jon removed the tape being used to hold close his own wound.
Shortly thereafter, someone made an inquiry about the role of the woman and how she was so knowledgable. She started reveling herbs hidden in compartments in her gown, the only one of which I remember is cilantro because it was unlike all the others. Upon seeing the combination of herbs she had at her disposal, the gentleman and the maid who'd wandered onto the scene realized she was a witch. The Jon smiled, relieved. "My King sent you."
