My son cut four fingers off his hand. He gathered up his fingers and gave them to me to sew back on, and he went outside to play while I finished up a task first. When I was ready to sew the fingers back on, I went outside to do this at the work bench but his hand was dirty from playing in the dirt so we had to wash it.
