Dream
I dreamt that I was young and beautiful again, setting up my home and very satisfied with it. I had lovely clothes, and when more were given to me, I was able to pick out the ones I liked the best and pass the rest on to others. A feared group of Banditos came through town and were making the townspeople (my neighbours) kneel before them. I wasn't scared of them, as the chief Banditos's son was a man I love in waking life, and I wanted only to get near to him. His father, the chief, had beaten him for a mistake, and so I hovered around the edges of the hall where they were gathering, cleaning intently, getting into the son's line of sight. He smiled at me, as I was amusing him with either my stupidity or courage, he couldn't tell which it was. The chief saw me and called out to me, and I reacted with sweetness and innocence, disarming the chief so he turned back to the business at hand. I turned to the son and he was grinning at me and spoke to me with appreciation and delight. My heart burst with joy, and I took him water.
