This dream was about

Okay, so I just recorded this really long dream that I had, and I must have been speaking on here for about six or seven minutes, and it did not write anything down. So that sucks, but okay. So I had a really crazy dream this morning where I woke up and it was, I was in a dormitory or barracks type situation with a bunch of bunk beds and then a bunch of single layer beds over in one area. and everything was all old-timey and I realized that I was in 1930s Germany when an officer walked in and started barking orders in German. Now luckily I speak German so I understood what he was saying and it was along the lines of okay everybody up let's go let's go and there was one girl who was in the bunk bed closest to my single bed and she was a really pretty girl you know blonde hair green eyes very bubbly very talkative and she kind of took me under her wing and I was talking with her throughout the day and I told her you know you guys are not going to win she goes well why would you say that I'd go well because I'm from the United States and I'm from 2025 you guys lost the war like 85 years ago and I explained to her that what happened and I explained to her that they weren't going to win and I explained to her that Hitler kills Eva von Braun and then himself in a bunker in Berlin and that's that and that happens after the United States bombs Japan and that's what makes everybody surrender and she was just horrified as I'm speaking to her she said no but we're trying to save the world we're trying to save the world we're doing something good here said no sweetie almost eight million people die because of what's going on here almost eight million people die and there's absolute horrors that are unspeakable being done to people left and right and most of them are innocent and she sat back and she said you have to tell everybody this you you have to come to this party you have to tell everybody this tonight and so I agree fast forward, there's all these quadplexes in this complex. It's basic, like, military housing. And in one of the upstairs units, you see lights and you hear people laughing and drinking and, you know, merriment. And she goes, that's it, that's where we're going. And I go upstairs and the place is shoulder to shoulder with all these young kids that look like they're in college. Some of them even look like they could be in high school. Like all these young kids and young adults. I'm just awestruck with how many people could fit in this small space. But she makes an announcement, says, here's, this is the girl from the future. She's going to tell us what's going on here. And I say my piece and I let them know, you guys aren't going to win. We end up bombing Japan and everybody surrenders after Hiroshima and Nagasaki get bombed. And everybody goes quiet, music stops, all the merriment and drinking and partying, go to a screeching hall, everybody's hangs on my every word and all of a sudden the door kicks in and it's an officer standing there that's highly decorated. And he says, you, tell me, who's the one causing the problems here? Who's the one from the future, supposedly? And everybody parts like water. And I'm standing there, well, sitting there on the floor, and he says, you, come with me now. And he yanks me up off the floor and drags me across the base into what appears to be some kind of a warehouse where they torture people. And I said, what is this? What is this place? And he says, this is how we toughen up our soldiers. This is how we're going to win. I said, you're torturing your own people so that you can win. No wonder you guys lose. And he turned around super quickly and just irate, his face turning red, and he says, well, what do you suggest? What do you suggest? How do we win? And I said, you don't. He said, what you're fighting for is not right. And what you're fighting for is not going to ever let you win. And if it does, if you're successful, hypothetically, what do you get? What is the world going to be if you guys get your way? Your music is going to suck, your food's going to be bland, and everybody's going to be bored because everyone's going to be the same. You have to have variety in life for it to be worth it. I said, what you're doing is you're killing humanity, not just humans. And he was obviously very upset, very pissed off, and I had to go through quite a bit of very uncomfortable and very unpleasantnesses in that warehouse. But fast forward, I'm flung back into the barracks, and I'm told that that's where I'm going to live. I'm not allowed to go into war. I'm not allowed to go to war. But I'm sitting there as time goes by, and I'm watching all these people that I've become friends with. I get to know these people in the barracks. I get to know the girl in the bunk bed across the way. She becomes my best friend, and she's so inquisitive about all these things from the future. What does this do? What does that do? Who does this? I really kind of fell in love with her. But as time goes on, more and more people go off to war, and less and less people come back. And then one day, she didn't come back. And I was utterly heartbroken. I was utterly heartbroken. But as time went on, people in worse and worse shapes came back to the barracks, and eventually that captain came back and said, If you, I need to know everything about the weapons that are being used against us. I need to know everything about this and that and the others. I told him, Even if I tell you, it's not going to do you any good. He said, Well, you're going to tell me anyway. So I told him. I told him exactly what was going on with what and where. And just like I thought, it didn't matter. They ended up surrendering after Japan was bombed, and everybody scattered. And that officer apparently was captured and killed, along with most of the people in that barracks. And I went home and woke up here, back in 2025, in Sacramento, California. As me, or just what I know to be me. It was just a very eye-opening experience in a different perspective, but something horrible, but very eye-opening that they were just people too, and just as scared as anybody that they were fucking with. Just following orders, and it was really surprising, all the emotions that I went through in that dream.

Julia, your dream is a fascinating tapestry woven with threads of history, morality, and heartache. The setting of a 1930s German barracks immediately sets a tone of tension and conflict, both external and internal. Being in a place that evokes a period marked by immense suffering and strife suggests a confrontation with aspects of humanity that are often buried in the collective conscience. This may reflect your own wrestling with the darker sides of human nature and the impact of war, both on a societal level and personal level. The fact that you could communicate with the officer in German shows a deep understanding of the situation, not just linguistically but also morally. Your ability to articulate the future to the young woman, with her vibrant personality, reveals your yearning to connect and share truths that can potentially change perspectives. This interaction may symbolize your desire to foster understanding and compassion in your own life, especially in the face of ignorance or denial about harsh realities. It’s a powerful dynamic, representing how knowledge can sometimes lead to painful awakenings, as you navigated through the horror of what war truly entails. As you moved from the dormitory to the lively gathering, it mirrored a transition from a somber reality to a moment of potential hope and unity. The young people’s attentiveness to your words reflects a longing for connection and an exchange of ideas. However, the abrupt interruption by the officer signifies the ever-present threat of authority and control, suggesting an ongoing struggle between personal truths and societal demands. Your confrontation with the officer in the warehouse highlights the internal conflict many face when confronted with the machinery of war and the justification of actions that strip away humanity. The emotional bond you forged with the girl in the barracks is especially poignant. It illustrates a yearning for connection amidst chaos, and her eventual absence underscores the pain of loss and the impact of choices made in times of turmoil. This aspect of your dream may resonate deeply with personal experiences of relationships, love, and the fragility of life. The heartbreak you felt speaks volumes about your capacity for empathy and the emotional toll of witnessing suffering, whether in the dream world or real life. Finally, your return to 2025 signifies a profound realization, as you emerge from this harrowing experience with a renewed perspective on humanity. The dream encapsulates a journey through pain, understanding, and ultimately, acceptance of the human condition. It invites reflection on your own beliefs and values, perhaps encouraging you to explore how these themes resonate within your own life. Your ability to empathize with those who are often seen as 'the enemy' is a powerful reminder of our shared humanity, and this dream serves as a call to honor that connection while navigating the complexities of the world.
