Dream About Church And Stormy Nights
Analyze my dream

This dream was about

Dreamt I was at church with my parents and we were having an a good time. There was my friend Alex next to me and I was kind of joking with him. At one point I was banging the seat in front me to the left in front of the guy next to me in a rhythmic way of clapping but I didn’t realize I was banging the seat with the back of my hand and he was leaning his crotch into the bouncing seat. I felt embarrassed and stopped. I looked back and this girl Vanessa from my school who didn’t even go to that church in real life showed up there with dark red lipstick that I’ve never seen her wear. I gave her a spirited but happy face a s she gave me one back saying hello in a way. I turned back to the front of the church and I was up close to the front like one row from the front. At this point they were playing like 70’s 80’s rock very motivational and on the screen was a movie that was about to start. Then the movie said and now you motion picture and this haunting music began. We watched and saw the scene was raining and it was an old town. It was lightening and thundering and it was getting dark like dusk time. Suddenly my mom and I were no longer in the church but we were in the movie and it was real. We were stuck out in the rain and we started running towards our neighborhood. We ran and we ran like we knew this area even though it was the neighborhood in the film and at some point we realized we weren’t going to make it home in the lightning and rain and we should seek cover so we ran back to the church. I told my mom that I’m glad she’s leading the way bc I wouldn’t remember how to get back there at the time I felt bad for but now that I’m awake from the dream I realize I wouldn’t know how to get back tot he church bc we never left it it happened when the movie started anyways we ran back to the church but there was this haunting vibe and the church was empty and ransacked. Everyone was gone and same for the whole town ther only seemed to be a few other small groups running around avoiding th rain and lightning. We didn’t stay long. My mom started leaving but I said I’m sure can fix some blankets to stay the night and she ran us to the this other part of town across the street was this old gold rush looking train station like the big thunder mountain ride when get on the ride. We were over there and looking around for shelter and then we started to hide bc it just felt very eerie and that’s when we saw another family or group come running through the train station looking for shelter or people. It might’ve been the same people that when the movie began and we weee suddenly inside the movie and looking at the sky that started storming and they were next to us in fear of the storm that was building. Anyways that when I woke up but after waking I realize I was literally dreaming of the end of the world that I was scared of happening when I was child and maybe still am that I’m scared the end of th world will come by my watching bad movies or music and it will be like everyone’s gone and raptured to paradise and I will be stuck on an empty storming flooding earth or maybe that’s something I already lived through when I left the church at a young age. I lost my friends and watched my mom get scared trying to protect me and I lost everyone and had to find my way through stormy times and stay close to shelter and not get overwhelmed with fear during a survival moment.

Tyler, your dream is rich in symbolism and emotional depth, reflecting both your current state of mind and your past experiences. Starting with the setting of the church, it represents a place of safety, community, and perhaps even your childhood beliefs. Being there with your parents and joking with your friend Alex signifies a desire for connection and joy in your life, a yearning for the simplicity of those moments where laughter and companionship were central. The rhythmic banging on the seat, while initially playful, turns into an embarrassing situation, indicating a fear of inadvertently crossing boundaries or miscommunicating with others, especially in social settings that should be lighthearted. The appearance of Vanessa, especially with her unexpected dark red lipstick, adds another layer of complexity to your dream. It suggests a confrontation with past relationships or unfulfilled connections that resurface in your subconscious. The happy exchange between you two hints at nostalgia and perhaps unresolved feelings from your school days. This encounter might symbolize your yearning to reconnect with parts of yourself that feel vibrant and alive, even if they seem distant now. As the dream progresses into the movie scenario, there's a notable shift from the safety of the church to the chaotic and eerie environment of the film. This transition represents a confrontation with darker emotions or fears, particularly related to feeling lost or abandoned. The stormy weather symbolizes turmoil in your life, and as you and your mother navigate through this, it reflects your relationship with her and your desire to rely on parental guidance during uncertain times. The realization that you were never truly outside of the church echoes the idea that you may feel trapped in your own fears of abandonment or existential dread. When you describe being back in the church, now empty and ransacked, it signifies a deep-seated fear of isolation and the consequences of losing your support system. The haunting vibe reinforces the sense of desolation and loss, mirroring perhaps your own experiences of feeling unmoored or disconnected from those you once relied on. The imagery of the storm and the fleeing groups highlights the urgency to seek safety and shelter, representing your instinctive drive to protect yourself and find stability amidst chaos. Finally, your reflection upon the dream revealing subconscious fears of the world ending speaks volumes about your past experiences and beliefs that may still linger in your psyche. The dream serves as a manifestation of childhood fears, where the end of the world seemed imminent, possibly exacerbated by the media you consumed. This indicates an internal struggle—balancing the weight of those fears against your current reality. Overall, Tyler, this dream is a profound exploration of your past, your relationships, and your ongoing quest for stability and connection in an ever-changing world.
