Dream
I dreamed again after praying to spirits for protection and guidance for me and my children, but also for
messages in my dream that I could understand. In the dream, in the beginning, from what I remember, I
was in the school. The school was huge. It had everything in it. Doctors, a hospital, stores, a hotel area,
a lot of clerks that were working. So I got lost in the school and ended up in the store area where I
bought a pack of diapers. I remember the packaging was a sunny yellow color for a co-worker of mine
who is not even pregnant at the moment. I went to go back to the school park and I got lost. I was
walking through the secretary station with the clerks. I ended up in the hotel-ish area. Looking at it, it's
like a bedroom, a big bedroom, and then another bedroom. My vice-principal sees me and calls me.
She's like, Ms. A? I'm a savior. Thank you. I'm so lost. Can you help me? She takes me back to the
school park and she's like, oh, I'm so sorry you got lost. But then we're in rooms, kind of like dorms. I'm
putting on these earrings. It's a pair of heart earrings and then another earring I can't identify. But I end
up breaking it by accident. The part that goes in your ear breaks off. So when I come out of my room,
it's a Christmas party. There are other teachers there, but also my family, my grandmother, my mom,
my aunts and uncle, my brother, who is also a teacher, my other brother, my sister, and my kids. In the
dream, it feels like I'm younger than I am. Logically, my brain is registering that I'm 35, but physically, I
feel younger. My son's teacher is there, and in real life, he just lost his father. But in the dream, he lost
his wife. And he is his usual cheery self. But I can tell something's not quite right. So first, I sit with him
and the other teachers he was sitting with, and I tell him the story. At the time, I was like 16, and my
landlord and I were talking about something computer-related, I think. And I made a joke, and he told
me, you're a bad girl, go to my room, but meaning his room. And my son's teacher looks at me and
goes, well, obviously, you didn't, right? And I was like, no, I didn't. But I was really disturbed, because I
was 16 and everything. And he's like, yeah, I can see that. I let them know that when I told it, I was
telling it for shock value to try and make them laugh, because they seemed really down. So moving on
to the next part, he's sitting there in a chair. And on the floor, there's a baby, a baby doll, and the baby
is covered in baby powder. He somehow managed to get the baby powder and made a mess. And he's
not even noticing. And then my brother walks in, who is also a teacher. And he is also physically
younger. And so I'm wondering how old we are in a dream. But before I can even say anything,
somebody comes to clean up the baby. My grandfather comes in, and he starts talking to us. But I
forgot that when I noticed the baby, I left water on the couch in a cup. So my grandfather starts yelling
about it, and my brother snatches the cup off the couch. And my grandfather is like, who left the water
on the couch? Who left the water on the couch? And so my son's teacher immediately stands up for us.
And then in the background, there's a student who has been giving everyone a hard time at school in
real life. She's sick. She has a fever. And her mom is trying to deal with that medically, but people are
judging her mom. Because her mom is actually taking care of her and not taking a nap. And leaving the
child alone. And the custodian, at one point, is helping me put new chairs, like seats, in my car.
Because somebody stole the seats from my car. And all of this comes to a culmination when I'm in the
living room with my son's teacher and my brother. And my grandmother looks at us and says, Alright
kids, it's time for you to go find something else to do. And then my son's teacher sticks up for us again.
And my grandmother kind of starts going back and forth with him. And I stand up for him. And then I
walk over to my grandmother and I'm like, Grandma, his wife just died. He's not having the easiest of
times. And so, about five minutes later, my grandmother says from the table, that he should go to the
table because they said he can talk to Clara. I don't know if that's his wife's name in real life, but it's his
wife's name in the dream. Clara. And my brother gets up and lays on the table. I don't know if it was his
way of trying to block what was going to happen, or if he was participating. But my son's teacher gets
up. And he pulls up his pants, he adjusts his clothes. Like, you know, they had slipped down a little bit
when he was sitting. So, he goes over there. After my grandmother repeatedly referred to him as she,
and I corrected her, which he thought was funny, he is now standing next to the table. And it's like he's
blind, he's reaching his hand out. And I am walking over to the table, furious and shaking and scared.
And I tell them, who said? And they're looking at me and I said, who said he can talk to her? Who is
they? And no one is answering me. And then he's feeling around and his hand lands on my head, like
my forehead. And I feel it. I feel a pull from deep within my body. All the way up to my head. My cheeks
flush and tinge pink. And I gasp once. And then I gasp twice as he's touching me. And I can feel my
body reacting to whatever was there. But I can't speak. And then I woke up.
