Dream
In my dream, I was at my uncle’s house enjoying the springtime with my step-brothers Adrian and Alan, who were visiting from Detroit to come celebrate a party. While we were enjoying ourselves eating food, all of sudden, I felt the presence of somebody coming. Those people who came towards us were my friends, Alex and Nahila, which I found to be bewildered yet chill but also really uncomfortable, especially how friendly they were being with my siblings. Seeing how well they were all getting along, I heard the song, “Breakaway by Kelly Clarkson”. In my second dream, fall semester was starting and I was with my friends, Alex, Nahila, Kyle, Yanni and Parrish at the SSV building and it was really great to see them all again, especially Kyle. In my third dream, I was with Kyle and we were sitting across each other in the hallway of the radio station. While we were enjoying each other’s company, even in the silence, I began to glance at him a few times before speaking, and that was when I told him my worries about the “later ons”. Once I told him the few things(today, the Spring semester and our friendship) I worry about, he basically cheered me up with his emotional intelligence, and his goofiness. Feeling somewhat relieved about today, I did the unthinkingly good thing and that was giving him a hug, which kinda got ruined by my tears. While we were hugging, I heard the song, “Power Trip” by J Cole and Miguel was playing from the station and what made the sweet moment to be changed into something awkward, was that our friends joined us when they saw Kyle and I jamming to the song. Even with all that sweet stuff and joking around with friends, it got even awkward when I subconsciously leaned into Kyle and I guess kissed him.
