After a hard time at my parents for Christmas today was the first night tonight was the first night I’m back to the city I’ve been living for 14 years. I’m in a house of a best friend that recently became a lover.

I finally told her in my dream what I feel, that I'm feeling like a fifth wheel, you know, like a car, like I'm useless, not worth anything. I dreamt of raking fallen leaves on someone's front yard. I found 3 snakes in the pile of leaves that I raked. As soon as I removed one from the pile, another one appeared. They were all different sizes. I could see the homeowners on the front porch, but I don't believe that they were paying attention to what was happening in their yard. 
The snakes weren't threatening in nature. They were just there naturally, like the fallen leaves. But I have a natural fear of snakes. So, when I was removing them from the pile of leaves, I was shaking with fear. I think I felt my bed shaking and it woke me up.
