Dream
I was in a small town in what seemed like the middle of no where. On the outskirts of the town, there was a stretch of road that wasn't developed fully. It was a gravel road but was being turned into a paved road and was being expanded to meet a highway. I was excited about this but I don't remember why. There was an abandoned barn or house that looked like it could collapse at any moment and was completely barren but I guess it was owned by someone who didn't want to demolish it. I loved the area so much for some reason. The pale golden wheat field around the abandoned building. And the building being right at the intersection made me feel happy for some reason. I then invited someone over to see it. They said they were on their way but never seemed to show up. I told myself they might be running late or running into traffic but in the back of my mind I knew they hadn't left yet. While I was waiting, I go into the center of the small town. It was only a few blocks long. The biggest building was a bank, that was combined into a thrift shop, but the sign outside only had the bank written on it. I go inside and I find soany outfits I want, but for some reason I had a deep feeling of someone watching me. Not just one person, but like a whole group of people. It was extremely overwhelming. In the dream I thought it was the people who used to wear these clothes that had passed away and were now haunting these items. Even though I was scared, I tried to look brave on the outside and laugh it off. The feeling got worse the more clothes I looked at, but instead of putting them back, I bought them because I liked them, and didn't want to back down because of judgement from ghosts. I put them in my car and drove off. I then went back to the intersection. Still no sign of the friend, nor any updates. I then go around the town and change the signs to point to the new intersection. I was scared to actually put anything on the street signs, as that might get me in trouble I'm with the law, but thought it wouldn't morally hurt anyone and would actually help. I pointed some of the signs in the right direction of the new intersection but not all of them, as I was scared to continue. I then drove around for a little bit, as I was bored. I took an exit, but then half way down it was blocked off. I didn't know what to do so I just parked there confused. Then a construction worker came up to my car in his car and said the road was closed. I said "then why is the road leading up to here open and not blocked off?" The worker looked confused, then facepalmed. He said someone else was supposed to do that but I guess it never happened. I rolled my eyes and turned around in my car. There seemed to be a line of cars behind me, so I had to veer into the grassy ditch and turn around that way, passing the line of cars. I felt bad for the worker as he'd have to explain all of that to each car as they also turned around.
