This dream was about

Just had the most amazing dream: David (my ex-father-in-law, a rude and secretly abusive man who i did not like and had no patience for) died, and the world changed. He was lingering for ages, being his obtuse and difficult self, and I was annoyed and impatient for him to get out of here. His wife was the one with him, laying down on the floor beside him where he had fallen, and I was irritated but trying to be understanding for her sake. He was in and out of vague consciousness, but then she had to go somewhere, so as he lost consciousness for the last time, Annalise (my second of four daughters, now 29) layed down with him, and I went away to give her space, when he passed. She rolled him up in a mattress and wept for a short time, releasing all that he had carried to her, good and bad. Then she then got up and got on with life. And all of a sudden life began to expand. Someone online - a woman with many followers - started a gofundme-type of thing for me for some material item - something expensive and beautiful that I really wanted - and it immediately began to take off. She had noticed I had "liked" it, so she shared it to her followers and the funding for it for me began pouring in. I was overwhelmed with joy. Annalise began expanding in joy and confindence, she became an even more expansive, truer version of herself. I found really deep (non-romantic) love and friendship, and so much laughter. At one point, we (myself, Annalise, other women) were on a movie set, and we found the original tiny house that had been used in a movie we had loved about a woman's transformation (a type of "Under the Tuscan Sun" movie). We noticed this original house being used again as the set for a different scene in that movie's sequel, and we were laughing and going to find the actors and confirm our finding. We travelled to Italy, we stood in open fields under night skies with strangers - mostly other newly-expanded women - with no fear, just absolute wild freedom and joy. We played games and danced and roamed. It was like all these women had simultaneously been freed and were all just OUT, wandering around in awe and joy at their new-found confidence and freedom. There were still groups of men behaving threateningly but we ourselves told them to get back - twice, in two different confrontations, and they had no choice but to obey. In the second one, a group of supportive men started to intervene on our behalf, and we dismissed them quite forcefully too, wanting to defend ourselves. We were actually rude to our would-be protectors, and then we pushed back against the attackers outselves. I personally did it awkwardly, and was aware of that, a little bit irritated with myself about it. But it didn't matter, it was ok that we were still wobbly, because we were allowed to learn how to be in this new state - and we had the power anyway and it still worked. We were all bold and joyous and free, and older women were amazed at the power that had come to us. Someone else - an older woman - had died before David did, and it had released power to us, which we could feel building, but not much had changed. But when David died, it removed a blockage, and I realised that some deaths give you power, and some remove the old hold over you. I realised that you need both things to happen, its not enough just to get more power, certain suffocating or quelling energies must be removed as well. All you need to do is wait, because it will happen in it's time. Then go out there and just BE.

Angie, your dream is a vivid tapestry of transformation and liberation, deeply interwoven with themes of personal empowerment, release, and the reclamation of joy. The passing of David, your ex-father-in-law, represents a significant release from the burdens of the past. His lingering presence in your dream underscores the weight of unresolved emotions and perhaps the stifling patriarchal influences that have been a shadow over your life. When Annalise, your daughter, lies down beside him, it symbolizes a generational shift and the passing of old burdens to new carriers. Yet, her ability to weep briefly and then move on signifies a healthy release and resilience, suggesting that your family is ready to transcend past tribulations. The subsequent surge of positivity and expansion in your life, marked by the unexpected generosity from an online community, underscores the idea of support and validation from the wider world. This reflects your yearning for recognition and the realization of desires that may have long been unacknowledged or suppressed. The dream paints a picture of abundance and fulfillment, not just materially but emotionally, as Annalise blossoms into a more confident version of herself, mirroring your own aspirations for growth and self-discovery. The imagery of the movie set and the tiny house is particularly poignant. It suggests a narrative of transformation akin to a cinematic rebirth, where you and other women find empowerment and joy. The parallel to a beloved movie about transformation hints at your desire for a life-altering change, one that moves beyond familiar confines into new, expansive territories. Your journey to Italy and the shared experiences with other women underlines a collective awakening, a shared liberation from societal constraints, and an embrace of fearlessness and freedom. The encounters with threatening men in your dream and the subsequent defiance represent a newfound strength and assertiveness. It indicates a shift in power dynamics where you no longer rely on traditional protectors but embrace your own agency to stand against adversity. This awkwardness you feel in asserting yourself hints at the growing pains of stepping into a new role of self-defense and empowerment, yet it is a crucial part of your journey towards self-reliance and confidence. Finally, the realization that some deaths bring power while others remove oppressive influences is a profound insight into the nature of personal growth. It suggests that true liberation requires both the acquisition of new strengths and the shedding of old constraints. Your dream conveys a message of patience and timing, reassuring you that change will come when it is meant to, and when it does, it will bring with it an exhilarating freedom to simply be. The dream is an invitation for you to embrace this transformation and emerge into a life of boldness, joy, and self-assuredness.
