While outdoors in the countryside of an unfamiliar area, a large tornado was approaching. As I ran for safety there was a lot of chaos and destruction as other smaller tornados wreak havoc. We sought refuge in a huge old shed that other people was hiding in also. It didn't feel like I was alone. A man came and give me a little boy to keep safe. The man proceeded to strap us to a fixture so that we don't get taken by the tornado. The already shaby building was hit by the tornado in a tumultuous few minutes but we survived. The tornado passed but was still at a visible distance. My wife and I went outside to see if it was safe before bringing out the little boy. We retrieve the little boy but then the tornado appeared to be returning so we quickly went back into the building. However, the tornado was now a large harmless cloud, shaped like a train with a happy face on the engine. We watched from the second floor doorway as it passed by and through the now visible small town. As we stood at the top of the outdoor stairs, I was holding the little boy's hand trying to make him feel safe and less scared. It appeared that the little boy had been abused and he was sad. My wife and I decided to keep him as our own which we expressed him. He became happy and had a huge smile as he looked at us with his bruised face. Just then it became clear that the little boy was my relative. I was not sure if he is my son, nephew, father or me. I started to sob as I slowly awoke from the dream still emotional on the edge of crying.

Errol, your dream unfolds like a vivid tapestry of emotions, weaving together elements of fear, responsibility, and familial connection. At its outset, the unfamiliar countryside setting and the approaching tornado symbolize a period of uncertainty or turmoil in your life. The chaos and destruction caused by the smaller tornadoes suggest multiple stressors or challenges you might be facing simultaneously. This could be reflective of personal or professional pressures that have recently disrupted your sense of stability. Seeking refuge in the old shed alongside others hints at your instinct to seek safety and solidarity during times of crisis. The presence of other people suggests you are not isolated in these challenges, perhaps indicating a community or family network that provides comfort. The man entrusting you with the little boy signifies a deep-seated responsibility or duty you feel towards a vulnerable aspect of your life. The act of strapping you both to a fixture underscores your determination to protect what is precious, even amidst chaos. When the tornado passes, yet remains visible, it represents lingering concerns or unresolved issues that still hover over your consciousness. The decision to venture outside with your wife indicates a mutual desire to face these uncertainties together, reflecting the strength and unity in your marriage. The transformation of the tornado into a harmless, train-shaped cloud with a happy face suggests a shift in perspective. It implies that what once seemed threatening has become manageable, and even benign, upon closer examination. The little boy's appearance and his signs of abuse evoke potent emotions of empathy and protection. This could symbolize a part of yourself or a familial connection that has endured hardship.
