Dream About Parents Grandfather Walking Bones

Last night I dreamed about my mom and dad. It makes sense because I have been thinking about them a lot lately. In my dream my dad’s dad (who died many years ago in real life) was very sick. He and my mom were caring for him but it was obvious that he wouldn’t make it. I went to help them care for him. Because he wasn’t going to bet better and he was still alive I had to come home. I was planning to go back to help them more later or when he died. Severa days passed. I was talking to my sister about it-that I was getting worried because I hadn’t heard from mom and dad to know how our grandfather was doing. She said that she had heard from the already! That he had died and they were planning the funeral. I was so hurt because I had taken the time to help them, not my sister, but they had called to tell her that he had died and not me! Then I was talking to my parents and I told them that I wished they would move to Orlando. That way they would be closer to an airport so I could visit more easily because they wouldn’t have to drive so far to pick me up. And if they moved to a retirement community there would be a lot of activities for them to participate in and people they could meet. Now they live in a rural area and they are very isolated. She said that her and my dad had thought of that but what they really wanted to do is to move closer to my sister so they could spend more time together! I don’t know why I would dream this. I’m not close with my sister but my parents have never expressed a desire to liver closer to her and if they did I’d be happy because I’d know they were looked after. I would love for them to live with me but I live a long way away and I know that isn’t likely to happen. Then I dreamed I was walking down a street with my friend Becky. I saw some really cool animal bones on the side of the road. I’m always looking for anima bones on walks. It’s sort of a hobby. While I was picking up the bones some teenage girls came up to us. One started laughing and pointing at me saying “you’re a WITCH and a B*TCH!!!” I really found it amusing because I am a witch and I didn’t care what she thought.

Matilda, your dream unfolds a complex tapestry of emotions and thoughts linked to your family dynamics, particularly revolving around your parents and your grandfather. The presence of your father's father, who has passed away, indicates that you are grappling with themes of mortality and legacy, perhaps reflecting on the influence he had on your parents, and by extension, on you. Your subconscious is urging you to confront feelings surrounding aging, care, and the inevitable loss that families face, especially as you think about your parents' well-being amidst their isolation in a rural area. Your desire to help care for your grandfather in the dream signifies a deep-seated wish to be of service and support to your family, highlighting your nurturing instincts. However, the subsequent hurt you felt upon realizing that your sister was informed of his passing before you indicates a fear of being left out or undervalued within your family structure. This longing for connection and communication is especially poignant given your acknowledgment of your sister's distance from you. It may reflect a latent rivalry or unresolved feelings regarding familial roles and recognition that need to be addressed. When you expressed a desire for your parents to move to Orlando, it not only illustrates your wish for them to be more accessible but also underscores your awareness of their isolation. Your suggestion of a retirement community indicates a wish for them to engage more with life and community, suggesting you care deeply about their happiness and socialization. It's interesting that they expressed a desire to move closer to your sister, a choice that may evoke feelings of neglect or being overshadowed in your familial relationships. This could suggest a need for you to assert your place in their lives and express your feelings more openly. The scene with your friend Becky introduces a lighter note, yet it also reflects your unique identity and interests, particularly your hobby of collecting animal bones. This part of the dream emphasizes your individuality and perhaps your comfort with being perceived as unconventional, as demonstrated by your humorous reaction to being called a witch. It suggests a sense of self-acceptance, embracing your identity, and an assurance in your interests that others may not understand. Overall, Matilda, this dream seems to be an invitation to explore your relationships more deeply, to express your feelings regarding your family's decisions, and to embrace your own identity without fear of judgment. It holds a mirror to your desires for connection, understanding, and acceptance, both within your family and within yourself.
