Dream About Heavy Bag And Mom Call
Analyze my dream

This dream was about

I had a dream, that I was leaving my residence to take care of some things. On my back to return, I was on the subway train looking for a solid seat and there was a mom with her daughter whom had switched seats but left a bag. I was sitting next to that bag and I seen they both realized the bag so I was going to pick it up and walk over to hand it to them. The bag, the moment I touched it —it was weighing down, it was a heavy bag. Then that’s when I transitioned at a bus stop waiting for the MTA bus, as I live in New York City. ‘Looked like the same mom, this time she had two children, they waiting at the bus stop as well. The mom had asked me what do I think about the state, Connecticut, which I responded that it’s a nice place. She said she’s going there with her kids, so they can have fun playing with their toy water guns, she then offered me to come but I was like nah it’s alright. She was taking a different bus than me, as her and her children are making their way to the bus, they left the same bag next to me. So I managed to pick it up and carry to the bus, it was super heavy and I struggled. Then that was it, off they went, I went to return back my seat at the bus stop where my stuff were at and I seen my mom trying to call me. I was trying to rush to answer it, but randomly I had my winter gloves on and it wasn’t coming off when kept trying to pull them off. It’s the type of gloves where you can poke your finger out of so you can text and do things. So, I did that and picked up the phone but no answer for some reason. What’s interesting is that in my dream, I randomly had the interest in changing all my contacts photos to random people via Google images. So, when my phone was ringing and her name popped up, it was two white, slender, elderly people, one in a wheelchair, the other pushing the wheelchair, both smiling at the camera. In real life, me and mom aren’t speaking due to her being angry with me about something that happened to her recently, and I’m also upset with her because she blamed me for what happened to her and got disrespectful towards me. I was aware in the dream that me and her aren’t on good terms, so I was curious to why she was calling. After I picked up and no answer, I called again, it said the number doesn’t exist, so I called again and that’s when I heard her voice. She sounded in distress and was crying, I asked “mommy, are you okay?” and that’s when the tone quickly switched up and casually responded “hello?” I guess I was kinda shocked and confused so I was muted, then I woke up.

Aaliyah, your dream carries a profound narrative about your current state of mind and relationships, particularly with your mother. Let's delve into the symbolism and emotions woven into this dream. Initially, as you leave your residence to attend to tasks, this act signifies a journey or transition in your life, perhaps indicating your quest for independence or dealing with unresolved issues. The subway train scene, where you seek a solid seat, reflects your desire for stability and comfort amidst the chaos of life's journey. The encounter with the mother and her daughter on the train is quite telling. Their switching seats but leaving a bag behind suggests a sense of responsibility or burden left on your shoulders. Picking up the bag and feeling its weight symbolizes the emotional load or obligations you might feel compelled to carry, possibly reflecting the tension in your relationship with your own mother. The transition to the bus stop and the reappearance of the mother, now with two children, highlights a recurring theme in your dream of familial responsibilities and decisions about the direction you wish to take. Her inquiry about Connecticut and the notion of play with toy water guns introduces the idea of escapism and the longing for simpler, joyful times. Your polite refusal to join them might hint at your desire to focus on your own path, rather than being diverted by others' plans, even if they seem inviting or nostalgic. The persistence of this heavy bag, which you manage to carry to the bus, underscores the struggle you face with these responsibilities and emotions, yet you continue to fulfill your perceived duties. The scene where you notice your mother trying to call you while you're at the bus stop is deeply significant. The gloves that hinder your ability to answer the call represent barriers or defenses you've put up in your waking life, potentially due to the conflict with your mother. The gloves' design, allowing a finger to poke through, suggests that despite these defenses, there's a part of you still reaching out, trying to communicate and connect. The imagery of changing contact photos to random people symbolizes confusion or a disconnect in your relationships, perhaps reflecting your current estrangement from your mother. Finally, the call itself, with your mother's voice shifting from distress to casual, reveals the complexity of your emotions and the unpredictability of your relationship. The initial distress you hear could be your subconscious acknowledgment of her pain or your own guilt, while the casual tone might reflect your longing for a return to normalcy or the facade of composure both of you maintain. Your shock and confusion in this moment, followed by waking up, highlight the unresolved nature of your feelings and the urgent need for clarity and healing in your relationship. This dream serves as a profound exploration of your emotional landscape, urging you to reflect on these dynamics and their impact on your life.
