i was back in high school with my older sister. during lunch we went into a classroom to catch up on missing work. i sat next to her and she was wearing an airpod while doing all the work that was needed. in that class different teachers would come in and get out bc it was lunch. a man teacher came in and he was really rude to the students. he called some stupid ane questioned their actions not during class but during lunchtime. it was clear he didnt respect his students. he then mentioned that Dee (my sister) was just as bad and dumb because she had an airpod in. this is when my jaw dropped and i had ENOUGH. Dee said “what did i do” in a very small voice bc she was clearly hurt by his words. Dee is my most sensitive sister and insults like this hurt her very much which then hurts me. Because the teacher was clearly dodging her question and making her feel small i stepped in and asked LOUDLY “what did she do?” He then said, “I usually never have to tell Dayana anything because she’s always quiet and doing her work.” i responded with “she still is quiet and doing her work, it’s not like you can hear her music playing in her singular airpod, how is she being dumb? can you not multitask?” he murmured something about me under his breath. i told him to repeat it and say it with his chest. “you’re slow” he said. i was APPALLED by his audacity at this point. “right i’m slow but im responding just fine towards you, my sister’s dumb but she completes all her work by the end of the day, and you’re a teacher but that doesn’t mean you’re educated or even knowledgeable of your students.”
