April was In a class and had to write a paper about World War 2. She asked me for some help Including dietrich bonhoffer and wanted some book recommendations. I was very excited and offered 3 really in depth books on the man. One I handed to her and said, this book was by a man who knew him. She examined the book and handed it back to me. She was frustrated because the book did not immediatwly go into the details of his life, and she was not able to use the table of contents to locate the part that was relevant to her. This is not how I would approach the book. I thought. A little disappointed that she was not seeking the depth of entire book, I tried to help, I went to the table of contents, which I'd never read myself, and looked at the sections explaining to her as I searched through them. This first one here talks about some of the interesting traits of bonhoffer's. Here this second one titled Giib Giib, its a term the author coined describing the time in which they were living. Admittedly it was hard for me to locate the relevant details using this approach. And I could not direct her to a specific point in the book either from memory because it had been a more holistic reading experience for me. I hadn't been looking for specific useful fact when I read it. I knew they were there, but didn't know how to just point to them.

I received a text from an unknown number, it was someone pretending to be my dad, I knew it was a scam straight away because I’m very aware of these things in daily life. I decided to call them to catch them out, but to my surprise, the voice on the other end of the phone was my dads voice, but I knew it wasn’t him, it almost sounded recorded, I responded and we had some back and fourth but I still knew it wasn’t him. I suddenly felt scared, freaked out and worried, this wasn’t a regular scammer. I called my dad and told him what had happened, while this was happening I was getting more texts from the person, pictures of my dad that were clearly taken from a far, as if he was being stalked. I was scared for his safety. I was worried this person now knew my voice and could manipulate it in the same way, so I warned my family members. I kept received images and videos of my dad from afar, some manipulated with AI. I was terrified.
