I was looking over Simon in a pool. I was standing on a bridge at some distance. We were playful and I was admiring his beauty even from that far away. I beckoned him closer a few times, thinking of his strong body and red swim shorts, but he wouldn’t come closer, playfully refusing. I didn’t mind and wasn’t going to force him. Eventually he did move closer, but I was doing something else.
Next I was inside a Target (why I’m back at a Target I have no idea), and I was sitting on a backless couch thing, back to back with Snow. Snow is a friend who I’m attracted to, and who I flirted with early last fall until I learned she is in fact not lesbian and has a long distance monogamous boyfriend. Snow however is pansexual and we have a strange flirty thing and I just kinda like her. So we were sitting back to back on this sofa just talking. At one point we turned towards each other and I gave her the fastest kiss on the mouth. Surprised even at myself, I apologized a bunch and said I should’ve asked before I did that. Eventually she smirked in a really sexy way and I realized she liked it, and I shouldn’t feel bad. It was such a relief to act on my attraction to her and her be into me too.
Next I remember being in my childhood home and my mom talking. I was near the kitchen and with my sister Ruby. Pappy, my mother’s father who passed away last fall, appeared inside the back door in the sunroom, smiling at us and looking not quite himself. Ruby and I were embarrassed and retreated, because my mom was saying something weird right in front of him, not realizing he was there. She said something about Pappy and Jackson (Ruby’s husband) combining, and how that’d be weird. Mom was about to say something similar about Simon for me, I just knew it. Images of Simon in his red shorts flashed across my mind as Ruby and I exited the front door. I said “oh my god” repeatedly out of embarrassment, and we were both laughing. The whole dream was lighthearted and easy, and while I don’t understand what the part with Pappy my grandfather meant, I still found it funny and playful.
