Dream
Last night I dreamed I was at Gold Star Chilli. I love their food even though I know it’s not the healthiest. This dream was long and I only remember bits and pieces now. I ate my food with a man , not sure if it was Dave (who is now passed on) , or Charlie. Anyways they left shortly after we ate, but I stayed at the restaurant. Someone else I knew that was there got a ride from one of the waitresses to Cinncinatti. Someone else got a ride with an older heavy set white headed man that used to work their but was fired. This guy apparently was still liked very much by the newer Chinese manager, they both seemed nice and the manager said he was scared when the former manager let him go. Later in my dream someone was taking me through the kitchen. It was raining hard, major thunderstorm outside. The kitchen had dark red and black short piled carpet, and the lights were out all throughout the kitchen. The waitress that was taking me through the kitchen got out a light and shined it on the floor so we could see where we were going. When she did, there were all these people sitting on the floor, some were next to their own poop. They were all dirty and unkept, each one trying not to sit on their own poop. Most were wearing ragged clothing all of them huddling together lined up on the floor , leaning against bottom of the cabinets below the counterspace. The poor people seemed cold. The lady with the flashlight was even shocked they were there, and I got the impression she had worked there long enough to know they weren’t typical. She said there usually isn’t poor people there much less with poop and pee everywhere. She said they all must’ve came in due to the thunderstorm and rain, they are usually not here she said, repeatedly. I remember my neighbor a good friend of mine came into the restaurant about that time and wanting to eat and I warned him what the kitchen looked like, and explained I had already eaten my food, but I wouldn’t have if I’d seen the kitchen first. I was still wondering where they prepared people’s food since the kitchen lights were all turned off, and the homeless people were in there along with their feces.
The restaurant was crowded, nowhere to sit down not even my groans neighbor Chris had a place to sit. I remember he let me go in front of him through a tight crouded doorway and I remember thinking that was kind of him to do. That’s all I remember. Then I woke up.
