Dream
I seem to always have these two dreams: 1. I can’t find my history teacher’s classroom. And 2. My library also has a thrift store. For the first one, I was in my high school and I was looking for my teacher, Ms. Leaphart’s, classroom. I walked down the giant grand staircase and ran around the huge tile floors to try and find her classroom. I went through multiple hallways: classroom 8, classroom 13, classroom 22.. no luck. It was like her classroom wasn’t even there. I went back upstairs and sprinted to the office because we have this thing called a hall sweep where when the bell rings for the next class and they see you still outside, you get detention. Anyways, I rushed to the office and waited there while a lady—probably a guidance counselor—was helping 2 people, yet this one boy continued to stare at me. When they were done, I tried to ask the lady but suddenly 2 other people—a girl and a boy—came towards me and dragged me to another room, shutting the door. They were interrogating me about what I was here for, and although it was fun, it’s been 15 minutes since the bell rang and I really had to get going. They were trying to get me to tell my student ID and a bunch of stuff, and I asked the boy if he had her class, he said yes, I asked him for her class number, he ignored me. Fortunately, when he shut his navy blue folder, on the cover of it in big white letters was “Ms. Leaphart — Class 8, Room 11” so I dashed to her class—there were people in there, but it wasn’t anyone I knew from my class. But I suddenly passed the library, and I saw her, so I went inside. There were seats in between book aisles and I saw people that were in my class. Then all of a sudden it transformed into a thrift store and there were three library people—2 of them controlled the book side, 1 of them controlled the thrift side. That lady kind of looked like my old math teacher in 7th grade. She was a bit chubby, had pale skin, black glasses, curly black hair.. but she never turned so I never really saw her face. They had gorgeous clothes—flowing off white flowing cardigans, a gray triangle tube top with beads a white bandana pattern.. they even had a shoes aisle! Past it were home decor like hampers, towels, soap dispensers; etc. and when I went to go look, I passed an aisle and I found my best friend staring at me. She asked me where I was and I told her everything. Then, me and her proceeded to checkout the stuff. I said I needed more hampers and so the thrift lady said get me one too but then I realize I used the wrong word for it, I needed hangers but I realized there weren’t any so I told her that they didn’t have any then I said nevermind because she wanted hampers and there were hampers. But they all had sizes for some reason like S, L, XL. And they were all shaped like alt denim maxi skirts that trailed to the floor. Weird. But I picked one up for her anyway. When she took it, I browsed the shoe aisle and I found the most gorgeous pair of shoes—pink, orange and yellow shoes with a blue underside and thick white shoelaces—for my mom, because she loves thise kinds of shoes. I looked under the shoe and it was, in fact, her size, a 7 and a half, so I took it! Then I realized I didn’t have any money, and my best friend said she’d buy it because she owed me.
