Dream
I was DJing an event for kids—they were at some sort of camp, and they were playing a game similar to musical chairs, but with no chairs. They had to dance in a circle, and I would play a song three times while they were dancing in the circle, but I would play various songs and they had to recognize when I had played the same song three times. If I only played it once or twice, not a big deal, but once they heard a song that I had repeated three times, that's when they had to do something. I never played the entire song, just a portion of the song was played before I moved on to a portion of the next song. We did this, and they were dancing and playing and having a good time in the gym.
Because it was a diverse group, I had all sorts of music: American music, Spanish music, and so on. When I got ready to do the final round of the dance, for some reason, some of the earlier Spanish songs I had queued up were missing and they weren't in my previously played library. So as I got ready to play them for a third time, I actually had to type the song in the search field instead of just being able to select them from the previously played list, which made it a little more difficult and challenging to find the song I needed to play next and only play a portion of the current song.
The leader of the organization wanted me to end the event by 9:00 p.m., and as we got closer to 9:00, I remembered that they needed to go to bed. So I got them all organized for one last dance, and I got them all lined up to do the Cupid Shuffle, but I didn't tell them yet we were ending with the Cupid Shuffle. I asked the parents and the chaperones to come out also to participate, and I set it up by letting them know that this was going to be an activity to help them go to sleep because we've had a great time and now it's time to get ready for bed and lights out. Once I got everyone lined up and got them organized, I let them know that this was going to be a routine to help them go to sleep and that it is important to have a routine to help your body wind down and prepare for bedtime. So after introducing and explaining the benefits of having a routine, I played the Cupid Shuffle and had them do that dance. We finished a little after 9:00 p.m.
Afterwards, I remember one little girl—for some reason, she was sad, maybe because she didn't get her song played or something like that. I talked to her briefly, trying to encourage her not to be sad and reassure her I just ran out of time to play every request. After talking to her, I went over to the organization leader's room to get a piece of cake, and she thanked me for DJing and hoped the kids had a good time.
Then my dream switched, and I was at work and one of my colleagues had called me on the phone to ask for assistance. I said, "Sure, come on over, I'll be happy to help you." On her way over, we found out there was a student activity going on, but it wasn't with college students. It was with sixth-grade students, and they each had like some little project demonstration that they were doing. It was an entrepreneurship class project where they were selling items on display as they pitched their product.
I met my colleague over there in a different building, and we were looking at all the displays. I remember some of the displays were actually pretty cool. One student was selling handcrafted vintage picture frames, and they were not expensive at all. One student even had a nice old antique hat. It was a little bit like a cowboy hat, but also a little bit like a British army hat with the three triangles. It was a combination of an army hat and a cowboy hat, and it was maroon. I tried it on, and it fit perfectly on me. I was debating on getting it or not while wearing it.
Then we wanted to capture the moment with a few photos. She was conscious that the photos should look professional and not look like we were romantically involved or anything more than work friends. I understood her goal without her saying anything. We made sure that we folded our arms and faced in for the first photo, then for the second photo we just turned straight into the camera. For the third and final photo, we had our backs against each other with our arms folded and looked at the camera. We were having a good time while engaging with the students. We were having so much fun that we didn't get a chance to talk about the work project. As we went through the displays, we tried to talk to each and every student to learn about what their display was as they pitched their goals.
I caught wind that this was just one display for the entrepreneurship group, and there was another one planned for the English students. I shared this information with my colleague. We thought about attending the English display, but one of the English faculty informed me that theirs started at 7:00 p.m. and went till 4:00 a.m.
I was going to reconnect with my colleague so we could actually finish the work project. While I was walking back to my building to look up her name, I saw this woman walking, and she had on a provocative dress. It was a long dress with slits on both sides so you could like see her hips and her legs while she walked. The top showed her stomach a little bit, and the rest of the top covered her upper ribs and covered her breasts. She looked back to see if I was looking at her, and then when she saw that I was looking, she walked towards the building, then turned right and walked like she was going to go around the building. I wasn't sure if she went into the building or not. So I went into the building, and then I was going to attempt to call my friend to tell her about the change in the time, and then I woke up.
