Dream About Traveling And Disasters
Analyze my dream

This dream was about

I had a very heavy dream just now! I was with someone I had considered a friend. We went out to eat and was having such a great time together. We had hopped on a train that reminded me of the LIRR but on the outer part of the train were the restrooms so the conductor was talking to my friend like “you girls barely made it. I was going to pull off without you…” and she had started to be rude. My friend said how we needed to really use the restroom and that we appreciated her allowing us up onto the train to use it. One of the other conductors came from the left side of the train and was shaking her head yes and stopped near me, leaned into my face and said “oh, you’re not the one that’s going to cause the commotion?” I said “no, why do you think I would? Is it…” and I was cut off in the dream as if the dream fast forwarded because I was going to ask if it was because I was black and poised, while the two train conductors were white women and my friend was too. We had gotten to “our stop” but in my dream, it didn’t feel like we weren’t supposed to be there. My friend and I had fun shopping at the mall, which gave me the feel/layout of Roosevelt Field Mall and Green Acres Mall from back home in NYC. As we were walking out the mall I’m assuming to find her car, I saw something very weird in the sky. It looked like a rocket going up and I told her to look up while saying loudly “what the fuck is that?” We stood in the middle of an aisle in the parking lot, staring at the rocket going up and then coming back down and I screamed “oh God!” One of the malls buildings moved to the side, almost as if to let us watch our doom coming towards us. 3 more objects on fire went up and came down in fire, one looked like a blimp, the other a crashing airplane and the last I couldn’t see but it was the one that was closest to her and I and by that point, I was on my hands and knees. I screamed “where’s my son!? Where is Sarki!? God forgive us! Let my baby know I love him…” The last thing on fire had just crashed before I had finished my sentence and I felt the ground shaking heavily. Whatever it was that crashed had to be maybe 10 miles away from us. I jumped up out of my sleep and kept kissing my son on his head because like I said in the dream, what the fuck was that…?

Evelyn, your dream offers a rich tapestry of emotions and symbols that may reflect varied aspects of your subconscious mind. The dream begins with you and a friend, enjoying each other's company, which signifies a sense of camaraderie and the joy of shared experiences. This moment of connection is disturbed by the interaction with the train conductor, whose rudeness introduces a feeling of tension. This might reflect underlying anxieties about acceptance or misunderstandings in social interactions, especially considering the context of race and identity that emerges when the conductor questions you. Your poised response, juxtaposed against the perceived slight, suggests an internal dialogue about how you are perceived by others and the societal pressures you face. The train journey, symbolic of life's path, indicates movement and transition. The fact that you 'barely made it' onto the train could symbolize feeling rushed or unprepared in certain areas of your life, perhaps in navigating societal expectations or personal aspirations. The restrooms on the outside of the train further emphasize a need for privacy and personal space, suggesting that you may feel exposed or vulnerable in public or social settings. Arriving at the mall, a place of commerce and interaction, echoes themes of decision-making and exploration of self-identity. The mall's resemblance to familiar locations from your past ties into longing for comfort and stability. The sudden shift to a scene of chaos with rockets and fiery objects in the sky is a stark contrast, symbolizing unexpected challenges or crises. This could reflect your fears about uncontrollable events in your life, perhaps tied to global tensions or personal upheavals, as the dream escalates into an apocalyptic scenario. The vivid imagery of fiery objects crashing down, along with your immediate concern for your son's safety, highlights deep-seated fears about security and protection, not just for yourself but for those you love. Your reaction—calling out for divine forgiveness and expressing love for your son—underscores a profound sense of responsibility and anxiety about the future. This plea for forgiveness and reassurance of love indicates a need for emotional resolution and peace, suggesting that you may be wrestling with feelings of guilt or inadequacy in your waking life. Finally, your abrupt awakening and the act of kissing your son reflect a return to reality, where love and familial bonds offer solace. This act is a grounding mechanism, emphasizing the importance of connection and affection in overcoming fear. Evelyn, this dream invites you to explore these themes of identity, societal pressure, and familial love, urging you to acknowledge and address the fears and emotions that lie beneath the surface of your consciousness.
