Dream About Saving A Rat

so this morning I had a crazy dream I guess it must have been about 16 hours ago now I just now set up this app on my phone because I broke my other phone but in my dream my cat was hunting rats and she had gotten a hold of a big rat and she kept trying to kill it by biting it in the throat and it kept squeaking and I couldn't take it I just couldn't take it so I told her I was like drop it drop it because we've had an incident here in the house before where they did get a hold of a mouse all three of my cats got a hold of a mouse and I had to get it away from them and tried to save it and she ended up dying anyway but in my dream this rat kept squeaking and I couldn't get it away from my cat and then my mom appeared out of nowhere and she had this bang stick gun and she's like well we have to put it out of its misery and so she held it to the rat point-blank and just kept shooting it and I started screaming and screaming and I was like no no what are you doing what are you doing and I grabbed the rat from my mom and luckily my cat wasn't anywhere near the bang stick at that point my mom had scared off my cat but I grabbed the rat and somehow it was still alive but it was bleeding everywhere and I was crying and crying and crying and I was trying to save it and I was trying to save it and finally my mom grabbed it from me and ended up shooting it in the head and then she gave it to my cat and my cat ran off with it the body and I was just left there sitting crying like how could you how could you do it and my mom's like it was just a rat and I'm like everything has the right to live and nothing has nothing should be tortured nothing should be fucking tortured ever it was horrible
