Dream About Rat In House 3

pages.dreamInterpretation.thisDreamWasAbout

I had a dream my friend and her daughter were renting out my basement. She came upstairs to the main house were my children and I were staring and asked me “Remember how nasty my daughter kept her room? Well now I have a problem!” Before she could finish her conversation a rat crawled up her right shoulder. I freaked out and ran. She casually grabbed the rat and it squirmed away grim her. Every time she grabbed it it weaseled away. She seemed to be unbothered. But my daughter and I were petrified! Finally she grabbed it and I tried to put it in a trash bag and it bit me. I became less fearful and said he’s going to chew through this bag after I got bit. I told her “we need to put him outside” he scurried and we caught him and he wiggled away then we caught him again and we played that back and forth game for a while. Then I realized this is not an average rat. He’s not running away from us he just doesn’t want to be captured by us. Finally we got him outside and it turned into a boy. I however still understood it was a rat. I told him baby you can’t come in the house. You’re full of diseases and filth. He didn’t seemed to be saddened just persistent about getting in. Can’t quite remember the rest.

Brooke, your dream is teeming with symbolic undertones that speak to various aspects of your life and subconscious mind. The scenario of your friend and her daughter renting out your basement suggests that you might be accommodating certain aspects or parts of yourself that you are not fully aware of or perhaps wish to keep separate from your main life. The basement often symbolizes the subconscious or those parts of us that we keep hidden away. Your friend coming upstairs indicates that these hidden elements are becoming more prominent in your conscious life. The mention of your friend's daughter's messy room highlights possible feelings of disorder or chaos that might be affecting you indirectly. This could point to unresolved issues or emotions that you perceive as a problem now, just as your friend does in the dream. Her casual demeanor despite the chaos suggests that there might be aspects of your life or relationships where others seem unbothered by issues that you find distressing. The appearance of the rat crawling on your friend's shoulder is particularly vivid. Rats often symbolize something unwanted or a nuisance, possibly feelings or situations that are gnawing away at you. Your intense reaction, contrasted with your friend's nonchalant attitude, might reflect an inner tension between your perception of a problem and how others see it. The rat's persistent escape from capture may symbolize an issue or emotion that you're struggling to contain or control. The transformation of the rat into a boy is a profound symbol of change and revelation.
