Dream About Moving Into A New Apartment

It started out with me moving into a new apartment building. My mom and sisters where there along with my sister in law. I don’t know why but for some reason it seemed like I couldn’t move in just yet I know we were in another building on the same lot hanging out together waiting. Every now and then we’d go outside and wait. The building was a two story apartment with several apartments. Mine was in n the very bottom. You could see the door to my apartment from across the way where we were sitting. The door to my new apartment stayed open. I could see the inside from where I stood. All you could really see was what looked like maybe the living room and what appeared to be maybe a mattress in the room with blankets and pillows as well as maybe some clothes on it. Eventually the time came and we were able to go inside and start bringing things in. We began exploring the apartment building but what appeared so small and simple from the outside was massive on the inside. There where so many rooms. And as we explored we seemed to only find/discover more rooms. Some that we’re basically secret rooms. I was exploring alone and found another room. I called for others to come look as well but no one was around to hear me. I discovered a secret door and entered. Inside was a massive closet. The room was still full of furniture and clothes. However the appearance of the room and clothes that lined the entire side of one wall all looked to belong to that of a younger teen. I much admired some of the clothes. There were these jackets/shalls hanging on the rack. Out of curiosity I grabbed on I liked and decided to try it on and see if it fits. I looked at myself in the mirror and was happy by my appearance. Surprisingly it fit well and looked super cute on me. I then turned to the other side of the wall where there was a large cubard/shelves full of shoes. However though the sweater fit. I knew for sure the shoes would not. They were very small and appeared to look as though they belonged to a child and not a teen. As cute as they were and as much as I wanted to try them on I decided not to even attempt. I then turned still wearing the jacket and tried once again shouting for others. I ran around the house looking for everyone else but seemed a bit confused as to where in the house I actually was. I continued to search but ended up waking up before I found anyone.

Josie, your dream about moving into a new apartment building is rich with symbolism and reflects several layers of your current emotional state and life circumstances. The act of moving into a new space often represents transitions in life, perhaps a desire for change or an exploration of your identity. The presence of your mother, sisters, and sister-in-law indicates a strong connection to your familial roots. This could suggest that you are seeking support from those close to you as you navigate through this transitional phase. The waiting in another building hints at feelings of being in limbo or uncertainty about your next steps, which resonates with the difficulties you've faced in your life, such as health issues and relationship challenges. The details of the apartment itself, especially its appearance, reveal a fascinating juxtaposition between expectation and reality. While it seemed small and simple from the outside, it was vast and complex on the inside. This could symbolize your own perceptions versus your actual experiences. It reflects a deeper understanding that what appears straightforward in life often holds more complexity beneath the surface. This notion might align with your feelings of anxiety and sadness, suggesting that you might feel overwhelmed by the many layers of your own life, especially given your diagnoses of depression and anxiety disorders. Your exploration of the apartment leads you to discover secret rooms, which can represent hidden aspects of yourself or parts of your life that you have yet to confront or understand. When you find the secret closet filled with clothes from a younger teen, this could symbolize a longing for a simpler time or an exploration of your past experiences. Trying on the jacket and feeling happy about your appearance reflects a positive self-image and a desire to embrace parts of your identity that might feel disconnected from your current self. It indicates a playful side that seeks expression, perhaps hinting at a need for self-acceptance and joy amid your struggles. Conversely, the shoes that appeared too small for you may represent feelings of inadequacy or the fear of not fitting into certain roles or expectations. The contrast between the jacket that fits perfectly and the shoes that do not could signify your journey of self-exploration; while there are aspects of your life you feel comfortable with, others may feel restrictive or unachievable. This tension may reflect the stress and anxiety you frequently experience, as you navigate your self-identity against the backdrop of societal and personal expectations.
