Dream About Being Attacked In A Bar

I went to a bar by myself. It was a nice darker ambiance with music playing and it was crowded. I went to order and they gave me a sample of something which was delicious so I ordered that, it was some kind of alcoholic tea. I moved to a bar stool and sat for a while, making friends with one of the women working the bar. I was talking to her when I turned and saw Cristian nearby to my left. I froze up, he got closer but didn’t look at me. But he made his way next to my bar stool, pushed past to talk to the bar woman I was talking to. I think I said something since he was pushing against me and he just glared at me with that same angry “kill yourself” look, and then he shoved me with one hand. I fell backward and the stool went down with me, so I slammed my head against the wood floor. Some strangers helped me back up and he walked away. I’d called Officer Sheifer, and she showed up pretty quickly but I couldn’t find Cristian anymore. I was talking to her inside the bar but realized I had put my bag down somewhere and had to go look for it. When I found it I couldn’t find officer Sheifer again. I woke up to the sound of thunder. But when I fell back asleep I was in the same bar, sitting somewhere else in the back of one of the rooms, there were two big rooms for the bar. I was at a table with a few other people who were talking but I was looking around. I went and ordered more tea and sat back down, I don’t remember what I had with me other than my bag so I think I was watching one of the tv screens. Something felt off so I went to leave and find officer Sheifer again. Outside I couldn’t find her so I tried walking the distance to my car, for some reason I hadn’t parked there in the parking lot so I had to walk. But I woke up again and when I fell back asleep I was back at the bar. It wasn’t as crowded anymore, assuming it was closer to their close time which was 2 am. The lights had been turned up and my mom was there. I was saying goodbye to the woman at the bar I’d made friends with and we told each other to be careful. I walked out the door with my mom, walking toward my car that was now at the back of the parking lot. A man had left the bar behind us, he was tall and bald but had facial hair and had two books he was reading inside so I hadn’t looked at him much inside. I got a bad feeling and turned to glance his way and he was watching me and my mom. When I looked forward again my mom was walking far ahead of me so I ran to catch up a little bit. But the man had grabbed me around my waist and legs and started running, I screamed so loud my mom turned around and started running back to get me from him. While I was screaming I saw my mom coming for me and I kicked out my legs as hard as I could. But I woke up kicking my legs in bed and my leg hurting and bruised in the place the man grabbed it.

Bea, your dream is rich with symbolism and emotional depth, reflecting various aspects of your psyche and current life experiences. The setting of a bar, with its darker ambiance and music, suggests a desire for social connection and perhaps a search for comfort in a crowded yet intimate space. Bars can represent a threshold between ordinary life and a more liberated, expressive state, indicating that you may be exploring your own identity and how you fit into social environments. The initial interaction with the bar staff, where you receive a sample of alcoholic tea, symbolizes a welcoming experience that could represent new beginnings or opportunities for connection. This moment of camaraderie with the bar woman signifies your ability to forge bonds, even in unfamiliar settings. However, this sense of ease is quickly disrupted by the appearance of Cristian, who embodies unresolved feelings or conflicts from your past. His presence evokes a sense of anxiety, particularly as he pushes against you both physically and emotionally, suggesting that there may be lingering feelings of resentment or anger that you have yet to fully confront. When Cristian shoves you and you fall, it represents not only a loss of control but also the impact of external influences on your well-being. The act of falling and hitting your head can symbolize a profound emotional injury or a setback in your life, perhaps indicating that you feel overwhelmed by certain relationships or situations. The strangers who help you back up reinforce the idea that support can come from unexpected places, reflecting the importance of community in your healing process. Your interaction with Officer Sheifer, a figure of authority and protection, indicates a desire for safety and resolution. However, the fact that you can't locate her reinforces feelings of uncertainty or abandonment, as if the support you seek is just out of reach. The recurring theme of searching for your belongings, particularly your bag, may signify a quest for your own stability or identity; losing your bag can symbolize a fear of losing control or a sense of self in chaotic situations. As the dream progresses, the change in atmosphere with your mom's presence hints at familial ties and a longing for security. Your interaction with the tall, bald man introduces a new layer of tension and fear, representing perhaps the darker aspects of your subconscious that you are grappling with. His predatory behavior and your desperate attempts to escape indicate feelings of vulnerability and the instinct to protect yourself. The scream for your mom illustrates a deep-rooted need for safety and support in moments of crisis. The physical sensation of waking up in pain from kicking your legs suggests that these feelings are not just in your mind but have a tangible impact on your body, reflecting the intensity of your emotional experiences. Overall, Bea, this dream encapsulates a journey through social connection, confrontation with past trauma, and a search for safety and identity. It invites you to reflect on your current relationships and how they shape your sense of self, urging you to seek balance between vulnerability and empowerment.
