This dream was about

I have a dream where I was on my bike going down a hill in a very foresty area The bike was a little too big for me so it was hard to stop and control it. I could hear cars coming from behind me and I was in the road and there was no sidewalk. So as I was approaching an intersection that had a stop sign for cars in a turning lane to go right, the turn was like a sharp turn that did just make a right angle but it made an acute angle going all the way back behind me to the right. In the front there was a road that continued going straight but made a slightly left turn going forward and continuing down the hill. Behind me the road kept going up the hill but was going up in a curved motion so you couldn't see what was coming around the corner. And then there was also another left that you could make but you couldn't see anything past that because the trees were covering it. Basically, the spot I was at had a lot of variables that I couldn't see, and I didn't have good vision to see down any specific road on where I should go. As I was coming to the stop sign, I decided to get into the right turning lane, at least to let the truck that was coming past me because it didn't sound like it really wanted to not hit me. I was a little worried, but it did go past me in a very speed-like motion and made the right turn. I realized that this pike was way too big for me to just be navigating this hill, so I decided to hop off of it and walk back up to the top. As I was walking I could see cars coming down, there wasn't a lot, maybe just one or two past me, but at least since I was going this way I could see the cars coming down the hill. I was very confident about going this direction. All of a sudden, my heart dropped because I saw a very large gray bear coming out of one side of the trees. I was extremely close to it, but I guess it didn't see me because it was looking up and around, but it didn't see me. It looked like a weird, elongated version of a koala bear, which didn't make a whole lot of sense to me because we weren't in Australia, but at least I didn't think we were. I'm a little confused now because it was just weird, but it went to the other side of the forest. However, I was now too scared to continue walking on that path because I didn't know the temperament of that bear. Would it turn around? Was it just waiting and wait, lying in wait? Or was it, did it fully move into the forest? Because I couldn't be sure, I decided to turn around and just go a different direction. I decided to leave my bike there, I would just come and get it as soon as I could get back to the top of the hill where I'm pretty sure my car was parked. So I instead made the right turn where the car was, that kind of went back up the hill but a different direction. As I was walking up the hill, my heart dropped again because this time there was a brown bear crossing the road. Brown bears are terrifying because they are so much more aggressive than any black or gray bear that is in the United States. So not only was this extremely large black or brown bear going across the street, but it had like four or five little cubs following behind it, which means it would be extremely more aggressive. At this point, I was like, oh, absolutely not. I was scared even to turn my back to it because I was scared that it would see me and run towards me, but I just backed away slowly. I decided the best route might be to just keep going down the hill. As I was coming back to where the right turn was, I noticed a little baby black bear devouring this chicken. It wasn't just one now, it was three or four. I started looking around for the mother, but she was nowhere to be seen. I saw one of the little black bears across the street from where I was and run over to siblings to get some of the chicken. That wasn't a cooked chicken, but it wasn't a live chicken. Feathers were everywhere. I had never seen a black bear devouring meat like that. It was terrifying. So I decided to almost try to run, but then there she was, the mom. The mom was crossing the street. At the same time, I saw this group of people who also noticed the bears. They were just as terrified, but because they were on the other side of the street already, they were able to have access to this parking garage that went really high up. So they all just slipped into the parking garage and went to the highest floor. I, on the other hand, was now in a situation where I had no idea where any of these bears were, and I was in such a vulnerable state to be so out in the open. If I was to run, I would definitely not be able to outrun any of these bears, and I knew it. Just then, the mother of the black bear noticed me. I have to make a decision right now, right now, right now. At this point, for some reason, I remembered I was in a dream, and I decided to fly. When I'm in a dream, and I know I'm dreaming, the way that I fly is by squeezing my fists together. So that's exactly what I did. I squeezed my fists together, and I imagined myself on the other side of the street where the parking garage was. That's exactly what happened. However, there was something like a lack of faith going on, and I couldn't quite fly across the street. I did end up getting off the ground, but like, not very high, not as magnificent. I think when I first started flying, I didn't really believe that I was in a dream, because, you know, it's kind of a normal dream, bears and stuff, it wasn't so crazy. But when I started to fly, that's when I remembered, that's when it started to solidify in me that I am in a dream, and that it's possible for me to get out. So I flew over, and I flew inside the bottom part of the parking garage, and I kept flying up, knowing that this black bear was behind me. Not really to try to eat me, but just try to chase me away from her kids, so I just needed to get far enough where she would back off, and go back to where her kids were eating. Finally, when I got to the third or the fourth floor, I could hear her turn around, and no longer chasing me. I then started walking to the top, relieved, to find... A beautiful sunset, along with the people who I saw going across the street, who thankfully were black people. And it was just nice to be around people who understood me and I didn't have to act weird. Even though at this point I now knew this was a dream and I had a different level of confidence in me, not cockiness, just knowing that everyone here was part of my dream and everything's going to be okay. And as they talked to me and said, Hey, are you okay? That's the confidence I spoke with, saying, yeah, I'm okay. I just flew over here. I'm in a dream. I'm ready to wake up and laughing about it.

Jacqui, your dream is a rich tapestry of symbolism and emotional undercurrents that reflect your current state of mind and the challenges you might be facing in your waking life. The imagery of you riding a bike down a hill in a dense forest suggests that you are navigating through a complex and perhaps overwhelming situation. The bike being too big for you may symbolize feelings of inadequacy or a struggle to control aspects of your life that seem larger than you can manage. This struggle is further emphasized by the road conditions; without a sidewalk and with cars approaching, it signifies that you might be feeling exposed and vulnerable in your current circumstances, as if you are in a fast-paced environment lacking safety nets. As you approach the intersection with its sharp angles and obscured views, it becomes apparent that you are facing choices in your life that are not entirely clear. The inability to see what lies ahead represents uncertainty about the direction you should take. This dream serves as a metaphor for the decisions you need to make, where the convergence of paths symbolizes the complexities of life that may feel daunting. The stop sign for cars indicates the need for caution and the importance of pausing to assess your situation before making any moves. The appearance of the bears introduces an element of fear and survival. Initially, the gray bear, resembling a koala, suggests that you may be confronting fears that are not as threatening as they seem, perhaps even a part of yourself that feels out of place or misunderstood. The confusion about the bear's identity may reflect your feelings of being in a situation where you don’t quite fit in or understand the dynamics at play. When you encounter the brown bear with her cubs, the stakes are raised significantly. The maternal instinct of the bear symbolizes a protective force, but it also speaks to your fears of conflict and confrontation. You recognize the potential aggression of the situation, mirroring real-life scenarios where you might feel outnumbered or threatened by responsibilities or challenges that you perceive as daunting. Transitioning from fear to the decision to walk back up the hill signifies a retreat to safety and a desire to regain control over your circumstances. Choosing to leave the bike behind can represent letting go of burdens that are not serving you well and acknowledging that you need to revisit your starting point to reassess your path forward. This theme of retreat and reflection indicates a wise choice to prioritize your well-being over the pressures to advance without clarity. Finally, the act of flying when you remind yourself that you are dreaming is a powerful moment of realization and empowerment. It symbolizes a breakthrough, where you reclaim agency over your life. The struggle to elevate yourself reflects the challenges you might face in believing in your own capabilities. The comforting presence of others who understand you at the top of the parking garage represents the support you seek and the desire for connection. Your dream culminates in a beautiful sunset, a metaphor for closure and peace at the end of a journey filled with trials. The laughter and relief you experience suggest a resolution, highlighting that while the path may be fraught with challenges, you possess the strength and insight to navigate them, ultimately finding joy and understanding in the community around you.
