Dream
For my birthday, I was invited by a famous celebrity to her island home, where she was also preparing for her wedding. I was very excited to celebrate my birthday there, and grateful because I knew I deserved the rest and luxury, having worked hard all my life. There was also a large group of children there who I knew, some were my own children, others were children not my own, but I knew them all, and they knew and liked me. The house on the island was a tall, ancient grey castle, and to get to it we had to walk along a narrow sand bridge, with tall wooden posts artfully erected along either side. It was very grand and luxurious, in a mediaeval style. I was very happy. But, the celebrity was very spoilt and selfish, and began fighting with her famous fiance. Her famous ex-husband also showed up and began arguing with her, and she was behaving like a spoilt child. She forgot I was there, and was arguing in front of me as though I were merely another member of her household staff. On my birthday, the celebrity ignored me completely because she was so self-involved, and it was left up to me to get all the children ready for the wedding. I had to get them all out of the pool and upstairs to get dressed. I felt disappointed but accepted the situation and shouldered the responsibility because it had to be done, then I felt bitterly proud that I handled it very well. My own children were upset that my birthday was being ruined. I did extremely well at getting all the children ready, as well as preparing other elements of the wedding. The famous celebrity did not even notice and nobody thanked me. The only people who noticed were other members of the household staff, who were very approving of my methods and my efficiency.
