Dream Of Lost Tickets And Stolen Car
Analyze my dream

This dream was about

Either a friend or a relative worked at a travel agency and told me that he could get a ticket for L&B to fly to Ohio from New York to visit someone, perhaps my dead sister. but when he gave me that ticket, it was actually a book of tickets not a single one and I realized that I thought that he’d probably stolen this book. I wouldn’t get into trouble using it, but he probably would. so I decided against using it which caused a family kerfuffle, and that I wasn’t visiting my dead sister often enough, although in the dream she was supposed to be alive and it was a question of or why not pay for the tickets is the only difference with money and I claimed I had enough money and money was not the issue, but I don’t know either the time involved or it was too much of an effort to to fly. And then the next thing in the dream was, I was in a big fat Lincoln, like my father had bought to compete with his brother-in-law who drove a Cadillac and I was driving this Lincoln and with my phone on the dashboard and I had to pull into a gas station because it red as zero gas. But I had trouble parking at one gas station, and another gas station had a slightly higher price, and I eventually parked, found and parked a gas station and walked away to do something other and when I came back to drive it for lunch, I found the car was gone and the employee at the gas station had used it to drive himself to some takeout restaurant and I was very angry and also very surprised that the car did have enough gas for him to drive all around the place, but I thought it was out of gas. Eventually did bring the car back and I don’t remember after that what happened?

Harvey, your dream is richly layered, offering a fascinating exploration into your subconscious. The initial scenario where a friend or relative offers you a ticket through a travel agency symbolizes a journey or a transition. This invitation to travel to Ohio from New York, ostensibly to visit your sister who is deceased in reality but alive in the dream, suggests a yearning or an unresolved emotion associated with her. The fact that it turns out to be a book of tickets rather than a single one implies multiple opportunities or choices that might be overwhelming or morally ambiguous, as evidenced by your suspicion that the book might be stolen. Your decision not to use the tickets to avoid getting your friend into trouble, despite the family kerfuffle it causes, reveals a deep-seated sense of responsibility and integrity. This situation may be reflecting current or past family dynamics where you feel torn between personal desires and familial expectations. The accusation of not visiting your sister enough hints at a possible feeling of guilt or regret over lost time or unresolved issues. The transition to driving a big Lincoln, reminiscent of the one your father bought, brings a competitive family history into play. The choice of car, as well as the competitive undertones with your father’s brother-in-law, suggests an exploration of legacy and familial competition. Driving the Lincoln with a phone on the dashboard symbolizes a journey with constant communication or distractions, perhaps highlighting the modern-day pressures of staying connected while navigating life’s path. The issue with parking and the fluctuating gas prices at different stations reflect a struggle with decision-making and resource management, possibly mirroring real-life concerns about energy and direction in life.
