Dream Of A Shadow Taking Loved Ones
Analyze my dream

This dream was about

It started with my friend telling me her house was cursed. She wanted to show me and when we got there her house was different. Before entering I asked «has your house always been blue?» she said yes at laughed at me never noticing details. We went in the house and it still looked different, she went to turn on the light, but it was shut off immediately «see? I told you» she said. «You won’t believe what happened here», she said. I told her I get so startled by these things that I don’t want to know. She ignored it and kept on telling. She started showing me an album while walking to the cellar. I knew something was off, but I still followed her. There was only walls where we walked with the stairs (which looked like mushrooms), the rest was open to the outside. She showed me a man who had hung himself in the album, and I knew what was next. Then she showed me the rope and told me we needed to cut it to break the curse. I told her I wasn’t comfortable with that and as I tried to leave I felt a presence of a shadow. I climbed the wall, and she joined me. After this almost everyone I care for went to the basement, like they were in some sort of trance. I tried to stop everyone, but no one heard me. And once they got to the basement, I never saw them again. Even my patient was walking and crying while walking towards the basement. As he left the shadow came closer «you see this? This is your doing. If you’d just cut the rope, no one would have gotten hurt. But you’re too scared and now everyone else is suffering for it». I started to realize that I was dreaming and tried to tell myself to wake up. I woke up in my bedroom, but was back in the dream right away. The shadow then said «I know who’s sleeping next to you, you think you can escape that easily? I could just join you and take him too, you won’t be able to do anything anyway, you can’t even wake up», now the scenery changed. He wasn’t anymore in the dream. He was in my bedroom, standing between me and my boyfriend. I screamed and shouted, but nothing helped. I was switching between the dream and my bed. And the shadow was in my room, trying to take my boyfriend. I thought if I made enough sound in my sleep he would wake up and then wake me up, but I couldn’t. I faught, talked, screamed, moved around, but nothing helped. He had already taken him, or he was in a trance. The shadow was now laying on my pillow screaming in my ear «LOOK WHAT YOU HAVE DONE! LOOK WHAT YOU HAVE DONE!», then I screamed and actually woke up in panic.

Glecci, your dream begins with a sense of mystery and foreboding, as your friend informs you of a curse on her house. The transformation of the house's color to blue, something you hadn't noticed before, suggests that there may be aspects of your life or relationships that you have overlooked or taken for granted. The laughter from your friend at your oversight could symbolize a sense of self-doubt or insecurity about not being fully aware of important details around you. As you enter the house, the lights turning off amplify the feeling of uncertainty and the unknown. This could represent your fear of the dark aspects of life or situations that you cannot control. Your friend's insistence on showing you the album and leading you to the cellar, despite your discomfort, might reflect the pressure you feel from external influences or expectations pushing you to confront fears or challenges that you would rather avoid. The imagery of stairs resembling mushrooms and the open walls to the outside world signify a journey into the subconscious, where things are in a state of transformation and growth. The man who hung himself in the album is a powerful symbol of unresolved issues or emotions that may be haunting you, and the rope represents a connection to these unresolved matters. Your reluctance to cut the rope indicates a fear of facing and resolving these deep-seated issues. When everyone you care for descends into the basement in a trance-like state, it suggests a fear of losing control over your relationships and the people you love. The presence of the shadow, accusing you and blaming you for not cutting the rope, is a manifestation of your inner critic, magnifying your fears of failure and the consequences of inaction. This shadow represents the darker parts of your psyche, urging you to take responsibility and face what you are avoiding. The transition between dreaming and waking life, where the shadow appears in your bedroom, symbolizes the blurring of boundaries between your fears and reality. The shadow's threat to take your boyfriend reflects your anxiety about losing him or not being able to protect your relationship. The inability to wake up or make a sound reinforces a sense of helplessness. However, your eventual awakening in panic indicates a breakthrough, a realization that despite the fear and chaos, you have the power to confront what's haunting you. This dream, Glecci, is urging you to face your fears, acknowledge the overlooked aspects of your life, and take action to resolve lingering issues, empowering you to regain control and peace.
