Dream About Wedding And Aliens
Analyze my dream

This dream was about

Taylor and I had decided to get married. We couldn’t get sealed in the temple so we decided to do a court wedding. it was a quick decision, so we hadn’t been dating the full year like I said we would. I didn’t have a wedding dress, we didn’t make an appointment. I spent a while getting ready, and met up with Brenda to finish a few things. We took some pictures and got to the courthouse. They had some kind of special going on that they couldn’t turn away people who wanted to get married, so we paid for it, had a mini ceremony and boom we were married. We went back to my grandparents for a dinner, and I took him into my bedroom so we could talk about things. When we would move in together, where we would live.. all those kinds of things. Like we were doing everything backwards. We decided to watch a movie, Taylor picked this alien one. When the movie started my dream shifted so I was in the movie instead of the one watching it. There were actors I recognized, semi famous people that I made note of in my head. So basically there was this school, a really small university dedicated to the study of the extraterrestrial. There were maybe 20 students, 5 professors, and they all lived in the same building. A few of them were dating each other. They had good technology, better than anything I’d seen anywhere else. The classroom was almost like military drills. It was incredibly strict, there was a lot of physical activity along with the technology portion. After day one, a classmate suggested that we go into town. (I’m not sure if I was watching from the POV from another student, or if I was one of the students) we all agreed it would be a good idea. We had these gliders we used to get around, something similar to what link uses in breath of the wild except they were electronically deployed, and incredibly thin. So closer to what aloy uses I guess. We went into town, had some fun at the bar, and then made our way back. On the way, a classmate suddenly went down to the ground to investigate something. The rest of the students made a comment that he does that sometimes and to just continue without him, so we did. His girlfriend mentioned that he has a sort of 6th sense, and certain things will trigger it and he must’ve seen something. Another student got a bloody nose and said that usually it’s a premonition of something, and went to take care of it. Some students were nervous, and others were abuzz that something good was coming. The next morning the student hadn’t returned. His girlfriend was a little worried about him, and suddenly my POV switched to her. Professors were coming in wondering where he was, saying he had breached the rules and told me (the girlfriend) to find him. They dismissed me from class and I looked through the entire building. Moved on, got in my truck, and went into town searching for him. Nothing turned up, and I had to go back to the building. I was really worried about him, and sat down in a lounge room with some of the other students making a comment about how concerned I was. Suddenly, either on the TV or in my mind I can’t remember, this old man with really tan skin and long grey hair appeared and told us he knew where my boyfriend was. That he was being held by aliens, and we had to follow his instructions to get him back. I was desperate, and worried and agreed. The man sent us on this goose chase, telling us to go and do certain things. A lot of it was dangerous, students ended up with cut limbs. Scratches and cuts all over their bodies. Acid burning them. It was a montage that played in my mind. We had to defy the professors, meet in secret, carry out horrible things. We brought danger to everyone. Almost killing half of our team. The big plot twist was that we were all being kept in these incubation boxes/beds hooked up to tubes to keep us alive. The camera showed us rolling around making weird noises like we were trying to talk. Our eyes wide open but glassy, like we were sleeping. The old man was an alien who was torturing us. No one was ever missing. The pain, the bleeding, the burns, all fake. But the pain felt real, I could see the blood in my dream. The guts, the bones, the saggy look someone’s face got when they were about to die. And then I woke up.

Mady, your dream unfolds a complex narrative that seems to intertwine your aspirations, anxieties, and the pressures you might be feeling in your waking life. The initial scene where you and Taylor decide to get married, albeit quickly and without much preparation, suggests feelings of urgency or perhaps the weight of expectations in your current relationship. The fact that you didn’t have a wedding dress or an appointment could symbolize feelings of inadequacy or fear of not being fully ready for significant life changes. You are contemplating a commitment that feels a bit rushed or not entirely aligned with your desires, which might mirror some of the relationship difficulties you’ve experienced recently. As you transition into the setting of the small university, it’s interesting to note that this space is dedicated to the study of the extraterrestrial. This may reflect a desire for exploration and understanding of something that feels foreign or overwhelming—perhaps your own emotions or circumstances. The strict environment with military-like drills could signify the pressures you feel in your life, whether that’s related to your studies, relationships, or mental health struggles. It's as if your subconscious is highlighting the need for discipline or structure amidst the chaos you might be experiencing. The gliders used to navigate the town could represent your yearning for freedom or escape from your current situation. They symbolize a way to move swiftly and effortlessly, which stands in stark contrast to the physical and emotional challenges depicted later in the dream. The classmates’ experiences of injuries and premonitions might echo your own anxiety—fear of the unknown and the potential for harm in pursuing your desires. This part of the dream seems to underscore the tension between your ambitions and the risks associated with them. Your perspective shifting to that of the girlfriend searching for her boyfriend adds another layer of depth. It highlights feelings of worry and the burden of responsibility for those you care about. This frantic search, coupled with the old man's mysterious guidance, could symbolize external pressures that push you to take risks or act against your better judgment. The ensuing chaos and pain inflicted upon your classmates may reflect your own inner turmoil and the struggles you face in your life—perhaps a manifestation of your anxiety disorders and the fear of losing control. Finally, the twist revealing that you were all in incubation boxes, with the pain being fake but feeling real, speaks volumes about your perception of struggles and how they may not always be as dire as they seem. It symbolizes a feeling of being trapped or manipulated by circumstances beyond your control, possibly reflecting your own experiences with trauma or stressors. The intense imagery of pain and suffering, alongside the realization that it may not be as genuine as it felt, could be a way for your subconscious to process these experiences and emotions. This dream serves as a profound exploration of your internal landscape, revealing fears, desires, and the complex interplay between them.
