This dream was about

I dreamed that I was at my Nana's house my great-grandma and that she was still alive and we were putting groceries away and she had her own refrigerator in her room which she always had but it was bigger and she was laughing when I was talking about her old refrigerator I had little cousins there who said that they were scared and wanted me to sleep with them at night because they were they were alone and that my cousin was gone I told them yes, and we continued to put the groceries away. In this dream, I was pregnant, even though my tubes were tied, and I was obsessing and scared over why that could have possibly happened. I was trying to look up my medical records, but my friend who was there, Haley, she took off with my cord to my computer and wouldn't let me have it back, like it was a joke or something, and it wasn't, and I got very angry with her. She got very upset that I became angry with her. She left abruptly, very upset, and I continued staying there with my family and putting away the milk and the soda that came from the grocery store. I was very concerned as to why I could have become pregnant even though my tubes were tied, and I was scared also. I was trying to think about what I should do, if I should have them tie my tubes again or not, but it felt like a relief that my tubes were not tied anymore and that I was able to make the decision to have more children, even though I already have too many kids as it is. It was strange. Later on, I found myself outside near a beach at some sort of gathering. It was a social, cultural gathering. I was informed that we were about to be hit by the Tonga tsunami and I was running everywhere with these two little girls trying to find somewhere safe. First we found this large spiral staircase and we tried to get on it. There was a few other people on it too and we were walking like as if they were stilts with this staircase and trying to find a more stable place to hide. There was a man who seemed like he was in charge. It was a stranger who was just trying to help us. We came across a long chain-link fence and I tried to climb on that but I decided that it was too flimsy so I got back on the mobile staircase and we continued walking. Then I came across a brick wall that seemed like maybe it would be a good place to grab up and hide and I got on there and the brick seemed loose but there was too late. As I look to the right I see not only water but a large mass of land coming towards me like as if the plates had shifted. I just remember being about to hit and I was so scared I've never seen anything so amazing and scary and terrifying and awesome and forceful and it was just like God's wrath was all coming down on us at once and I just told the little girls to brace themselves and to hold their breath once the once we were hit by the water and then all at once the land and the water hit us and I just remember my life flashing before my eyes and then I woke up.

Nina, your dream is rich with significant symbolism and emotional undercurrents that reflect your current state of mind and life experiences. Your Nana's house, a place filled with memories and comfort, symbolizes a yearning for the safety and stability of your past. The act of putting groceries away with her, especially amidst her laughter about the refrigerator, suggests a longing for simpler times and the routines that brought you joy and structure. Your little cousins seeking comfort from you highlights your role as a caretaker and protector. This indicates a deep-seated sense of responsibility towards those who look up to you, and it may also mirror your own need for reassurance and support during challenging times. The unexpected pregnancy, despite having your tubes tied, introduces feelings of anxiety and confusion regarding unforeseen changes in your life. This aspect of the dream represents fears about losing control and the need to find logical explanations for unexpected events. Haley taking your computer cord and your subsequent anger reflect frustrations with feeling misunderstood or not taken seriously by those close to you. As you continue interacting with your family and putting away groceries, the mix of fear and relief about the possibility of having more children, despite the logical contradictions, symbolizes a complex blend of anxiety and hope regarding new beginnings or opportunities. It suggests that you are grappling with the idea of change and the potential it holds, even if it seems contradictory or overwhelming. The shift to the beach gathering and impending Tonga tsunami represents external forces and events that feel beyond your control, symbolizing overwhelming challenges. The large spiral staircase, chain-link fence, and brick wall indicate your attempts to find stability and safety amidst chaos. The presence of a stranger trying to help points to the unexpected support you might receive during difficult times. Finally, the immense and terrifying force of the tsunami and the shifting land reflect profound fears and significant changes that you feel powerless to stop. Instructing the little girls to brace themselves and hold their breath highlights your instinct to protect and prepare for impact, even in the face of overwhelming adversity. This vivid and intense dream underscores a deep-seated anxiety about survival and the need to confront and adapt to life's unpredictable and often frightening changes.
