This dream was about

Last night I had a dream that I was at my boyfriend Paul's house, and I was upstairs with his two daughters, Ria and Leila, and they were a lot younger in my dream than they are now, and one of them was looking at some books, and we were trying to choose a book for her, and she said, oh I only like books that I get from my mummy, and I said, oh why don't you just try and select your own book and see if you like one, and she got really upset and started crying, and then the other daughter turned round and called me a twat, and I said that's not very nice, I'm going to go home, and they said good, so I went downstairs and Paul was cooking in the kitchen, and I was stood opposite him and I didn't know what to do, because I didn't really want to go home, but I was just a bit shocked.

Caroline, Your dream appears to reflect some underlying feelings of insecurity and uncertainty in your relationship with Paul and his daughters. Let's explore this dream together: The dream takes place at Paul's house, where you find yourself interacting with his daughters, Ria and Leila, who are depicted as being younger than they actually are. This suggests that you may be yearning for a simpler time in your relationship, when things felt more carefree and less complicated. One of the daughters expresses a preference for books from her mother, which could symbolize a desire for a stronger connection with her. When you suggest she choose her own book, she becomes upset and calls you a "twat." This reaction may indicate that you feel undervalued or dismissed in your relationship, as if your opinions and feelings are not being taken seriously. You respond by saying you're going home, and Paul is shown cooking in the kitchen. This suggests that you may be feeling a sense of isolation and a desire to withdraw from the situation. However, you remain in the house, indicating that you still have some investment in the relationship and are not ready to give up on it just yet. It's worth noting that you've mentioned having dreams about being in Paul's house before, with similar themes of feeling out of place and undervalued. This suggests that these feelings may be something you've been struggling with for a while. Overall, this dream appears to be a reflection of your current concerns and insecurities within your relationship. It's important to communicate your feelings to Paul and work together to address any underlying issues. If these feelings persist or intensify, it may be beneficial to consider seeking support from a therapist or counselor.
