pages.dreamInterpretation.thisDreamWasAbout

The last dream I had was about, I think, a young teenage boy in space. And the faction that he was in didn't allow you to feel fear whatsoever. So when he was up against a parasite that began eating his... co-workers, I guess, he just couldn't do anything about it. But with every person that the parasite took over, he would get bigger and bigger and bigger. And at last, it was only the boy and the monster– the parasite. Finally, the boy puts his gun on the table and says, Nothing at all. But the alien says, "Are you going to kill me?" qnd the boy nods, still not showing any fear. Eventually, the mother ship hears about this and goes to save whatever remaining people there are on the spaceship. But before the boy can do anything, the monster explodes, leaving him with all the blame for all of his crewmates and getting one of the people working on the mother ship killed for being afraid of the bloody aftermath.

Abby, your dream encapsulates a complex interplay of fear, responsibility, and the struggle for control in a high-stakes environment. The young teenage boy, who finds himself in space, symbolizes a journey into the unknown, a place where the rules of reality can be distorted. Space often represents vastness and isolation, suggesting that you may feel similarly adrift or confronted with overwhelming challenges in your waking life. The boy's faction, which disallows the feeling of fear, speaks to societal or personal pressures to suppress emotions, particularly in high-pressure situations. This could indicate that you feel the need to project strength or resilience even when you might be grappling with internal turmoil. The parasite in your dream serves as a powerful metaphor for external threats or negative influences that can consume those around you. As it devours the boy’s co-workers, it illustrates the anxiety of losing connections or witnessing the downfall of important relationships in your life. The increasing size of the monster reflects the escalating consequences of these fears, highlighting how they can grow and become more overwhelming if not addressed. It raises the question of what aspects of your life might feel as though they are spiraling out of control, particularly concerning your social or emotional circles. The pivotal moment when the boy puts his gun on the table and decides to confront the alien is significant. It signals a turning point in your dream, where the boy chooses to face his fears rather than succumb to them.
