Dream About Singing In Church 4

Woke up from a dream in which I was on the choir stand of the church I use to attend in Sumter. It was the end of a church service and the majority of the people had left or were leaving. Ralph and one of my brothers named Mario and I were looking at the microphones. Mario was on his keyboard. Ralph mentioned that these were the same old microphones that didn’t work. I smiled in agreement. I then took one of the microphones and adjusted it on the microphone stand. Instantly, the pews were no longer in the sanctuary of the church and I could only see beams of sunshine shining through the stained-glassed windows in the church. I began singing Whitney Houston’s song “I Will Always Love You”. As soon I began to sing, the church was quiet. I felt as if i was the only one there although I wasn’t. I even thought that perhaps this song wasn’t appropriate to sing in church but I sanged anyway. I could hear remnants of Whitney’s vocal tone through my own voice. I remember singing pointing to people in my head that I would always love them. In my waking life, at least for now, Ralph left Tabernacle (my fathers church) in April. Shortly thereafter, I left as well. We’re in an interesting, transitional space right now.
