Dream About Shopping With Vietnamese Mother

I was shopping with a Vietnamese woman who was maybe my mother. The store’s clothing was also in Vietnamese. I don’t know anything about Vietnam nor the Vietnamese language but I felt quite open and did my best to understand others. As I picked out a few clothes, the mother seemed to indicate they might not fit and I held them up to myself while they were still on their hangers in an attempt to test their fit. A young nervous woman who had just began her shift at the register helped out my “mother” and I. The mother had an intense energy, which stressed the girl out and made me feel bad for her, and the mother asked about getting colored pencils. The girl answered in English and apparently they didn’t have all the colors we were looking for but she answered politely and indicated we’d get the items eventually. I later looked at colored pencils in my possession, realizing we only had “blue” and “dark blue” shades, and nothing else. I got emails from another female at the store, perhaps the same employee from earlier, her name started with A and was like “Anaphora” or something like that which is a literary term—she said she had forgone her own personal writing to find the requested colored pencils. So like red ones at least, and probably other colors like green and yellow. Another part of this dream, I found a jar of coins and figured I should go to a coin machine, but then realized there wasn’t enough to bother doing that. I also found a phone charger that I had apparently used during travel, and it was in fairly good condition on the outside but I figured it didn’t work well internally. It actually still worked, though it said inconsistent things when I set my phone on it. It had a fancy, wavy charging screen and showed different battery percentages over time, which didn’t make sense (90%, then like 30%, 10%, 35%, etc.) It said “10%” when I decided to unplug it, and my phone was actually charged up, but the symbols looked less charged. In short the indicators were wonky but the phone was actually charged fine.
