Dream About School Shooting Injury Recovery

I was back in school, college, and seated in a classroom on the second floor. There was a shooting, and the shooter fired through the first floor ceiling. The bullets penetrated through to the first floor classroom where I was sitting in class. There was chaos everywhere. Students, people lying all around on the floor bleeding. Some still alive and severely wounded. Others were dead. Paramedics came into the room and began treating the wounded. I looked around me, I was lying in a pool of my own blood. I thought about writing in it a message to my loved ones but couldn’t move. I felt I was dying. A paramedic came over to me and started working on me. Shortly later I was loaded into an ambulance with one other wounded person inside. I noticed there were several ambulances full of wounded, and also many people covered in bloody white sheets on the ground. I was in and out of consciousness as the ambulance rushed to the hospital. The hospital halls were filled with the wounded people on gurneys and hospital beds. I kept slipping in and out of consciousness with the thought I’m not going to make it. A doctor and nurse came to my side and were asking me questions. I answered best I could. I could feel pain, but it was fading. My vision started to fade and I cried out, “I can’t see. It’s all fading. Blurring. Turning gray.” The doctor jumped into the bed I was on as he ordered the nurses around him to hurry and wheel me to the operating room. The doctor kept repeating to me to stay with him and focus only on him. I then saw my eyes through his. They were large, black, and had lost all color and shine. He was working on me as they wheeled me to the operating room. I couldn’t feel what he was doing. I focused on his words to stay with him. Focus on him. I did, and after what felt like several minutes, everything suddenly came back into color and focus. The doctor sighed and ordered a scan on my head. They found a bullet lodged in my brain.
