What Does It Mean When You Repeatedly Dream About Someone | DreamApp

In short: Dreaming of the same person over and over usually means unfinished feeling on your side, not that they are thinking of you. The repetition is the point.

Do you frequently have the same person in your dreams? The significance of dreams is a subject of much debate, although it is generally accepted that they reflect the depths of our subconscious, including our desires and fears. But what does it mean when you dream about someone repeatedly?

A clinical psychologist advises against taking repeated dreams about the same person too seriously. We develop emotional connections with those who provide us with security and protection, whether they are our partners, close friends, or relatives.

Two-thirds of us experience repeated dreams of someone, which is a frequent phenomenon. These dreams may represent your sentiments and concerns rather than being a sign that you are obsessed with this person. Some of us might have dreams about the individuals we spend a lot of time with, while others might have dreams about the people we miss, like the ones who are no longer here.

In this blog, we will solve all your doubts about dreaming of someone repeatedly.

What Does It Mean When You Dream About Someone Repeatedly?

You share a past connection with this person

Do you frequently see an old acquaintance in your dreams? There's a good chance that you two have a unique bond. Any form of relationship that has come and gone is fair game for this kind of dream, whether it be an ex-girlfriend or a family member's acquaintance.

Your dreams may be the result of your subconscious mind recalling all the memories and experiences you shared with that individual. The presence of old memories in your dreams concerning this individual is entirely normal, so don't be shocked by it. They undoubtedly had a significant influence on your life, in my opinion.

Your subconscious is trying to warn you about something

This one may initially seem a little frightening, but it is a very typical explanation for why individuals dream about people they know. No, you are not being visited by a ghost or a demon in your dreams. Your subconscious is much more likely attempting to alert you to something.

It may indicate that there are significant issues at work or in your family if someone keeps showing up in your dreams with angry facial expressions and pointing fingers at objects nearby.

And they want to let you know that something has to be fixed. Your subconscious controls your ideas and emotions, so it might attempt to alert you to anything that is happening in your life.

It's possible that you're feeling bad about what you did or anxious about anything going on in your life. Perhaps you are worried about or don't want to quit a relationship you are currently in.

Why does this occur? Since your subconscious is capable of alerting you to problems, it may be trying to warn you by bringing up a persistent dream about a person you know.

You have unresolved issues with this person

Your dreams are likely to reflect any unsolved problems you have with a particular individual in real life. This is so that your mind can attempt to resolve the dispute on your behalf. Decide if you need to discuss things with them or if there is a problem that needs to be resolved. Because you might frequently dream about someone else if you still have unresolved concerns about them.

Friends, family members, and even foes may experience this. This might be anything from starting a debate to defending an unfinished dialogue. However, you keep having dreams about this individual because your unconscious mind is trying to find a solution to this issue.

You’re trying to manifest something in real life through your dreams

We might be able to better comprehend why certain people keep turning up in our dreams if we consider manifestation. I won't get into specifics of how it operates because I'm confident that you are already familiar with the idea in its entirety.

Your subconscious mind may be attempting to change how a scenario will play out in real life when you relive it in your dreams. If you don't know how to change something in your life or don't want to, you can't go past an issue.

Perhaps you are trying to influence how your connection with that person will turn out, which is why you keep having dreams about them. Arguments, confrontations, or even reliving a moment when you feel mistreated in the past are the most frequent dream situations when you are dreaming about someone you are wanting to manifest a positive outcome with.

Even though we have no control over what occurs inside of us, our subconscious is aware of it. Therefore, if you have dreams about this person, strive to alter how your connection with them turns out.

You’re in love with that person and don’t know it

I have a question for you regarding your recurrent dream. When you keep having dreams about that individual, does it make you feel incredibly cosy and upbeat? Or does every time you dream about that individual, you feel like something is missing from your life?

There is a good likelihood that you are in love with that individual if the response to the previous query is yes. Teenagers are especially prone to this. Perhaps you are dreaming about this person because you are secretly in love with them.

Your mind can bring up that individual in your dreams so you can confront your feelings even though it can't inform you that you're in love with them. Even though you may be dreaming about the person you love, the dream may not actually include them.

Instead, it's possible that you're dreaming about the emotions that lead to love. You may occasionally experience strange dreams or nightmares as a result of your irrational awareness that your feelings for this individual are inappropriate.

There is no reason to feel guilty about loving someone because loving someone is never wrong.

The person is currently going through something traumatic and you feel helpless to stop it

Did you know that occasionally, when we dream of the same person repeatedly, it's because we feel powerless to prevent them from going through a horrific experience? One of the possible causes of your dreaming about someone you know is due to this.

The reason is that you are sympathetic and are aware of their difficulties. Although you are aware that there is little you can do to improve their circumstances, you yet feel responsible. You're just feeling horrible because there's nothing you can do to assist them.

This is typical behaviour among therapists who treat trauma patients. They encounter their own trauma as a result of exposure to others. When you repeatedly dream about a person you know, this is what happens.

You feel guilty that they are experiencing trauma, yet there is nothing you can do to make it better. Because of your excessive empathy, you are unable to digest these emotions without feeling guilty.

You want to know more about this person

You know this person and they are a part of your life, but you don't know them as well as you would like to. You might be interested in learning more about someone's personality, likes, dislikes, history, etc. You're fantasising about them because of this.

In real life, there are some people with whom we have an affinity or who we like to learn more about. Furthermore, when we are alone at night, our thoughts will strive arduously to make these persons appear in our dreams.

Your subconscious will do every effort to make that happen if it wants to reveal something to you about this individual or if it wants you to learn more about them.

What does your unconscious mind desire from this person, then? It might be anything, from reaching a resolution with them to simply realising why they are so crucial to your life. Even so, you might be attempting to determine if they are someone who is suited for you in the long run.

Your common dreams may be trying to let you know that this person is special and that you should get to know them better.

Conclusion

As you can see, there are several explanations for why you can keep having dreams about the same person. Yes, there may also be some unfavourable factors. The majority of the time, though, it's your subconscious trying to let you know that they matter to you and have some sort of bearing on your life.

In either scenario, having the same dream repeatedly usually means that something about this individual has left a lasting impression on your mind. After all, your spirit may be seen via your dreams. They expose items that could be obscured from vision during the day.

Frequently Asked Questions

When I keep dreaming about someone are they dreaming about me too?

"If you dream about someone, it's unlikely that they are dreaming about you as well," the saying goes. Church

Dream

I had a dream last night that I was on the choir loft of a church, above the main entrance. I was hanging out and talking with a few people, and then my ex-girlfriend popped up out of nowhere. We were talking and happy to see each other, but things got intense very quickly. We began kissing each other, and things got hot and heavy pretty quickly. We were making out and I could tell it was going to lead to something sexual. As soon as I felt like we were about to get on the ground with me on top of her, realizing we were in a public place, I was about to suggest we go elsewhere, and then I woke up. I don’t remember anything else, or how the people around us reacted.

Dream

Help me intrepid my dream, there were two parts but I’ll start with the last because it’s fresh on my memory. I entered a big convenience store and they wanted me to observe and chaperone a worker. I was like cool. The worker was Mary J Blige the famous singer. She was her normal jazzy self! Dressed in black and white with blonde hair, Gold jewelry, with heels on! I was thinking to myself she working in this environment dressed like that? Okay each it’s on. As we started working together I noticed she kept trying to get me to do her work. But I was only there to observe not do her job. But I helped out. By the time the not ended she wanted me to count her draw down and I drew the line there because I wasn’t being responsible for someone draw and it could come up missing. I put my foot down and told her I could help her count it but that’s it! She was alittle aggravated with me and so was I with her but we go through it. Afterwards she really looked at me and then started to blink I eyes like she do and then some of the executives came and they gave me rolls of money!!!! A lot of it, I remember checking out her outfit one more time then I woke up! Wait, I just remembered the first part of the dream. I was laying in what felt like my bed and a man slide in it. I was familiar with him, comfortable even, but I was still half sleep. He didn’t do anything but get in the bed and hold me. I went back to sleep. But what felt like hours I woke in the dream. I remembered that I was with someone else or married and that man had to go. He shouldn’t be there! So I jumped up! That startled him. I asked what was he doing there. He said he messed up and he missed me and he still loved me. And in the dream I still loved him but I knew in my heart I couldn’t trust giving him another chance. He had so many times to love me right the first time he had me. Why? Did he get to come back in my life and disrupt my flow of life. But I really loved him. The other man I could love but I would never love him like I love this man. He had my heart. He wanted me and I wanted him. But I didn’t know what to do. But he had to leave because the other man was downstairs with my family. I don’t even know how he had got up here with me! Or even who let him in. So I put on my clothes for work, a business skirt suit! And then I lead him to the back door. He confessed more of his heart. Saying things I wanted him to say prior in the relationship. I started to cry!Tears running down my face, Because all I wanted was to love him and for him to love me BACK! But do I give up a man who is following God doing things right with like a routine flow? Yes, he could be boring but good to me? But Is that the way my life is supposed to be? Is that settling? The way that man kissed me good bye the other man I live with could never!!!!! But he is good to me!!!! Then he left, with agreement we would talk. I closed the door behind him. I let tears rolled down my face. I was there for a minute before I got myself together and then I grounded muse and started my day! I entered into the room with the tv on….and then the next scene I was at the store!

Dream

So 2 nights ago, I had a dream about a small fire in my old house. Thankfully we contained it. But last night I had another dream about my old house and we were just camping outside it, me, my brother, and my sister. My brother was playing around with a lighter and accidentally caught the house on fire. Thankfully he blew it out but then a few seconds later the entire wall was engulfed in flames. So we ran to the front and warned everyone and tried to get them out. Thankfully we got them out just before the fire caught on the entire house. So I ran in and got my phone and ran straight back. Eventually, we were notified that we’d be staying at my grandma’s apartment in New York City which we lived there for a few months and we’d be returning due to the fire. So when we get there I’m looking at the skyline and it ends.
