Dream About Menstruation And Hygiene

I was a nun apprentice living in a boarding house full of young women. We were all training to be nuns. I woke up in my own room, a sunny well-lit place with carpet. I was menstruating and not managing it well, I got blood on my underwear and sheets, and when I tried to put on a pad while standing up in the room, two drops got on the carpet. An older nun who took care of us went around asking which women were bleeding and if they needed anything. I told her I was bleeding and it got on my sheets and carpet. I remember trying to get myself together and to properly change clothes, and not having time to shower. I was supposed to leave for class with two strangers, a gay young man and a young woman, they were waiting in a carriage for me but I let them go without me. I skipped class to take care of other things. I remember getting to campus somehow later for workshop class, where I was supposed to sit next to my classmate Maia. There had been something about bad hygiene in the class and Maia had left piles of white rice on the desks of those who smelled bad. I was one of them, and had been sitting next to her. I was offended and humiliated so I went outside to try to gather myself. When I went back in she asked what was wrong but I was annoyed and brushed her off. She implied smelling bad wasn’t a big deal and said I could keep sitting next to her, I could even sit on her lap. I refused all of this and pulled my chair away from the group to sit apart. I remember this wasn’t that serious and despite scrambling in the earlier part of the dream, I wasn’t stressed.
